We'll just set up shop somewhere else.

Think about it: if they start policing content, they'll hit us, but then that same set of content police are going to start looking for new dragons to slay. every sub with any longstanding points of debate, are going to end up with users filing complaints against their opponents whenever a name is called, and the subsequent bans will flow.

She pulls this shit, and reddit is dead, and something else will replace it.

I kinda can't wait to watch her run it into the ground and ruin her career.

Protip: use a forwarding service such as opayq when signing up for shit like this - best used with a gmail endpoint: they cache resources removing possibility of being deanonymized or tracked. This Ellen Pao quote has been rehashed, ad nauseum, on this sub. Before this, there was some posts back in February worried about the same thing and that the sub will shut down. There were posts back in October 2014 worried about an impending shut down. Probably there were some posts before that too.

We are men. Stop behaving like little ninnies worried that the big bad woman is going to kill us off. If reddit shuts down this sub, it will be unfortunate, but oh well. There is already a plan in place for where to move the community (puerarchy.com) The sidebar material is backed up. A lot of the top posts are backed up.

Stop pretending that the end of the sub is the end of TRP. It's not, and it never could be. TRP--and the men of value who make up this community--will rebuild, learn from mistakes, and continue to thrive. That stands true whether it's on this sub or elsewhere.

It's not going to be shutdown. TRP doesn't vote-brigade, attack, or harass anybody. If somebody doesn't like something posted in here, that's too bad, but nobody is forcing you to read it. TRP has a bad reputation among people who know very little about it. Before banning it, I expect the admins will do significantly more research than the average redditor, and they'll find we're really quite harmless.
