I first found this community, this way of thinking in a sorry state. Weary from my experiences in the modern world, I came to discipline myself with fighting the downhill flow of enthalpy of emotions that weigh us down, neuter us, and stifle our potential as men. I’ve applied TRP in all aspects of my life, but one thing I’ve found to be the most effective thing for me by far has been to become unemotional to the limits of my capabilities. I didn’t realize this was my greatest strength until I watched a documentary called “The Mask You Live In”. It’s a pretty terrible documentary, glaringly biased against manifestations of any sort of genuine masculinity. It attempts to blame the ills of the world and society on the expectation that men put on other men to be masculine. The onus is put on men to prove to women that “toxic masculinity” is a thing of the past, and that men shouldn’t teach their boys to be tough, strong willed men and that crying in public is acceptable, playing with girls’ toys is to be encouraged, and that whatever women feel is fact, rather than a combination of neurological and hormonal processes converging in irrationality and weakness. This is unacceptable. Being unemotional is not the same as being emotionless. I’m not a sociopath, at least I don’t think I am. I feel joy. Anger is channelled in constructive ways such as writing, playing guitar, and lifting and is never put on display. What I do not feel is anxiety, depression, and longing. I have a long term girlfriend but I do not think of her often. I don’t look forward to seeing her, nor do I really care if she looks forward to seeing me. My relationship is one that is mutually beneficial and objectively rewarding. In killing my emotional weakness I have gained strengths. I no longer fear the opinions of anyone, especially women. I don’t get nervous when a hot girl sits next to me in class and strikes up a conversation before I do. I think nothing of it. I wear what I want, I say what I want, I tell people what I’m thinking. I do not overanalyze situations or worry about the future, because each day is a constant focus on self-improvement. I feel no fear, I feel no pain. I am the cogwheel that turns the machine around me.
