You think guys are going to sign up and take your seminar?

You can almost hear Julien laugh at how idiotic that comment was. He knows that they will come in droves after learning that this exists on CNN.

You can also hear him hold back laughter on his fat shirt being on CNN.

[–]Endorsed ContributorLastRevision 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Comments in this thread are almost the polar opposite of the sentiment from for other thread. Julien's appearance on CNN was awful for his business.

Imagine you never heard of RSD prior to seeing Julien on CNN; they purposely made him look like a nervous clown and a fraud, he called his audience "socially awkward," and "just looking for a girlfriend."

Would this make you want to give Julien money or would this make you feel like he's a snake oil salesman and a chump?

[–]dickinlips 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Guys seeking to improve have accepted the reality that they're socially awkward, so not really. I'm sure it wasn't live so he kept it vanilla to actually air. I think people here are envious, claiming to have been a rhetoric God on the air unlike him. But guess what? Nobody cares.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well golly, Chris, I just hope so...

[–]Andress1 21 points22 points23 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It was a smart move.Else way he would have gotten banned from everywhere and couldn't teach anymore.Too much shit hit the fan. You gotta accept defeat sometimes.

[–]pcadrian 6 points6 points6 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yea somehow I got the feeling that his apology was 100% empty and more strategic than anything else. A lot of hostility from the CNN dickhead though...

[–]MicroMinion 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You make it sound like Julien talking lies is a good thing but the CNN guy who is clearly getting paid to say whatever CNN wants (and in this case that is to play an accusatory role) is a bad guy now.

Julien wasn't forced to sit there by CNN and I bet he completely knew what was coming for him. I'm surprised CNN guy even let him finish his sentences, most of these cases just come with a overwhelming amount of people interrupting the accused mid sentence when they are trying to defend themselves and try to make them look even worse.

[–]Transmigratory 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think this epitomises Robert Greene's "Law 48: Assume Formlessness".

This is confluent with Bruce Lee's quote:

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.”

Being ridged is bad; an extract from Robert Greene which outlines why:

"By taking a shape, by having a visible plan, you open yourself to attack. Instead of taking a form for your enemy to grasp keep yourself adaptable and on the move. Accept the fact that nothing is certain and no law is fixed. The best way to protect yourself is to be as fluid and formless as water; never bet on stability or lasting order. Everything changes."

Embracing THAT will show that you really are Red Pill. Red Pill, yes there's a branch on it (and the Manosphere) about changing, but others want to live life by adapting to the current matriarchal drenched value system that society has while maintaining the element of masculinity.

Julien hasn't been schooled because he ridgedly stuck to his view. He was smart because he was formless in this case. He can't spread the message if he's banned from places, right?

Plus he got what he wanted: publicity.

[–]gohammer3 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm cool with him apologizing but his body language was screaming submissiveness and his frame was weak.

[–]digg_was_better 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Every question he got was predictable because it was along the lines of "assault/misogynist/asshole". Why agree to go on CNN without a gameplan? How is he going to teach confidence when he's nervous on air?

[–]TimPartendale4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He should've asked the reporters some questions, such as why less than 1% of his content is being scrutinized

[–]edmproducerXX 23 points24 points25 points 11 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

I want to be really respectful to the OP.

But this is just bullshit.

For a while , lets forget this and just think of what Julien does. Julien is a MPUA and is alleged as one of the greatest manipulators and seducers. What he has gotten himself into is probably the greatest thing for RSD financially. Mainstream media i.e CNN just by mentioning him is giving away multi-million dollar of free publicity to his venture.

This is parallel to the negative publicity TRP gets and at the end of the day ends up getting even more subscribers.

dazed111 , first think then write.

[–]1dongpal 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

wouldnt he market RSD better if he would defend himself and act more confident / not apologizing?

[–]iNNciB 14 points15 points16 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That wouldn't work, since everything he will say after this shitstorm will be critically observed, put out of context and so on.

RSD got a huge amount of publicity, now if he wouldn't apologize the mainstream would go "this criminal doesn't even regret it etc"

But if he apologizes you can expect the attention of the mainstream to (at least partly) switch targets, if he keeps low profile now and just waits for the SJWs and Feminazis to start the next big shitstorm, he and his company will be golden.

This was just a smart business move in my opinion, the interviewer was incredibly biased and Julien played his role pretty well.

[–]zephyrprime 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But the more publicity he gets, the more money he could make potentially.

[–]iNNciB 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a valid point, although I think that the saying "there is no bad publicity" (which I think you are kind of referring to right here) is a little bit too generalized. There is a certain extent to which this works, but there are a few things which happened during the week(s) prior to his apology which really work against him and his company. -venues cancel RSD events -people protesting against, insulting or just straight up attacking people associated with RSD (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pDOwnV-nzg), this could drive lots of people away -he gets visas cancelled and denied entry to some countries, so the events can't happen at all

If he didn't do anything and the feminazi lynch-mob starts expanding their attacks to other members of RSD, I would think that this would actually do more harm than good for the company itself.

[–]Keninishna 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think the SJW's will forget this and will probably have protests and try to shame everyone going to RSD seminars from now on.

[–]foldpak111 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Julian played this out flawlessly. I also love how the herd thought they had this wolf by the balls when they just fell into his trap. This publicity is going to draw so many men that see through the bullshit to his programs. Congrats CNN, y'all just made a rich CEO a filthy rich CEO ( insert Dr. Evil laugh).

[–]get_real_quick 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No. Because he doesn't need to market it to people who have already bought into the mindset. He needs to market it to betas who can now think "oh, this guy really wasn't so bad, he's just a dumbass who said some stupid shit, maybe he's worth at least 30 seconds of my time"

[–]redcamo 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

By what logic does "he's just a dumbass who said some stupid shit" lead to "maybe he's worth at least 30 seconds of my time"?

And marketing a product like RSD to the plugged-in betas who can stand to watch CNN is like marketing computer processors to sorority girls. It might be a big audience but they are just NOT fucking interested in what you're selling.

[–]RightHandedCube1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Because sex. They won't openly admit it, they might even be repulsed, but if they're not having success with women (highly likely if they're plugged in betas) they might intrigued enough to give him a quick look.

[–]ShekelBanker 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

RSD Julien apologising does 2 things: remove a lot of heat from the feral females and market himself to a lot more people.

This is one sneaky LAD, he doesn't apologise meaning what he says.

[–]aHangingChad 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm confused. Doesn't apologizing just make the feminazis attack all the more, because it shows weakness?

[–]ShekelBanker 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not entirely: he delivered his apology; just because some feminazis will stick around doesn't mean he didn't remove a lot of the flak that was on him after the Australia incident.

[–]aHangingChad 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

ok, that makes a bit more sense. I haven't been following the entire thing, but he looked the opposite of a smooth and steady operator this morning when I was watching CNN. That host was a brainwashed white knight and I couldn't believe Julien was laying down to that and letting him just talk down to him like that. Had it been me, I'd do something even more outrageous, wait until i had networks competing for me and then go on the one where my message is most likely to be heard in its unadulterated form.

[–]blinkyone 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

RSD is a young lad, more-so than Tyler by a decade, he will take it to higher heights, especially since TRP/Manosphere/Seduction/Pick-up has gone "mainstream" in its own might, on the internet.

[–]redcamo -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So what happens when the content from his next seminar completely contradicts his apology?

[–]ShekelBanker 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Good question, but be sure that seminars now will be behind closed doors, no cameras/recorders allowed and no women either.

[–]redcamo 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So the tradeoff for "marketing himself to a lot more people" is that he essentially can't publicize his appearances anymore.

Hmmmm.

[–]ShekelBanker 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Better imo than end his "career" abruptly because of feminists driving him to the breaking point and even have a target on his back for a false accusation which he would get convicted for.

[–]pachan 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

which is why he should have used his appearance to further promote the business instead of backpaddling which isnt going to help him anyway.

[–]tombreck2 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is no such thing as bad PR usually holds true

[–]Modern__Day__Pricus 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haven't checked it out yet. About to now but, really? He caved in? Psssh. C'mon man.

"CTP" (Captain in the Titanic Philosophy) Go down with your ship man. Screw that noise.

Eminem is not about to apologize for that Lana Del Ray line no matter how PG/Feminized the world is now.

I am mad at this. I actually enjoy their videos. I love information from all places. You can even learn something from a bad movie or song I believe.

Idk. Let me watch and see if it is as bad as you say.

BRB

[–]Modern__Day__Pricus 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Okay.

He just made it seem like his course on dating and attracting women was and is one big joke somewhat.

He kept saying "It was a joke, I apologized"

If you are going to spend 1,000 plus on his course, how would that make you feel if you just finished watching this?

I don't think everybody understand politics and why he had to fold like that on TV so, it may make him be seen different.

The person interviewing I believe somewhat was even trying to help him in a way "Own this right now". That is what he should of did instead of apologizing in under 1 minute as soon as he got on TV.

Damn. i will still check out their videos but, idk man. Bad and good move I guess.

[–]blinkyone 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Tyler's recent videos explained how the mainstream media doesn't do a good job soliciting a balance opinion without inserting bias, particularly with the Elliot Rodger's tragedy. RSD thrives as an alternative anti-mainstream self-improvement company, so when young bucks sift through their videos and start piecing together the information themselves, they can ultimately draw conclusions themselves to determine what's worth salt and what's not. However, the issue right now with Julien will be addressed with Tyler's recent video on the 'mainstream narrative.'

Also, there's semi-mainstream pick-up artist shows: Keys to the VIP. And if RSD and the pick-up community were to be taken down, many others would have to go as well. Heck if CNN, ABC, CBS, etc. wanted to do an in-depth analysis of RSD, they'd probably get the appropriated expense funds to buy their programs to actually expose them, which money in the bank for RSD. The SJWs, feminazis, and whatnot conservative crowd will never be RSD's target or those of the community. It is doubtful that they're of attractive traits, social-able, easygoing, and ready to put-out, people you'd like to fuck, let alone worth the effort to try. It's goes against what's being taught by RSD and/or internalizing TRP truths, nor is their and our objective to reign over these people or the mainstream narrative.

Simply, it's no different than TRP being attacked by the mainstream Reddit community, where we have seen exponential growth and the off-shoot of RPW. RSD's latest work has been following and adhering to the following of TRP narrative, and I would like to postulate they are recreating the same effect that inadvertently happen here in a deliberate manner.

[–]niggertron9000 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

exactly, the narrative is already set, being "this guy is a creepy, violent, mysoginist. Let's kick the living shit out of him while he's down".

I don't doubt for a second that that apology was fake as fuck. And simply something strategic to take the heat out off RSD.

[–]BloodRoseTRP 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The host was being a cunt. Although in his defence his boss probably instructed him to bash Julien.

Judging from the video, it did seem that Julien was a bit shaken up, not like his usual self in his videos. However, for all I know it was all an act

Huh? How can you make such a silly absolute statement that there is no such thing as bad publicity. For every thousands of businesses that became successful from bad publicity there are another thousand that have failed. Bad publicity may help small businesses, but no big company wants bad publicity. Nike has recently dropped ray rice, adrien peterson and jon jones all due to bad publicity. An apology was the best thing julien could of done since feminists were gaining a lot of traction due to their increase of supporters. I may be wrong of course since i am assuming RSD is a big company.

[permanently deleted]

[–]rickyboy -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wrong use of the term political correctness. Well it is a silly statement to say since the future of a business will not be parallel to such a bland statement. I understand what you are saying that this can used as free advertisement, but as i said this can obviously tarnish their image. Like i said maybe i am over estimating how big of a company RSD is and it may be as beneficial in the long run as you say. Last statement is just a passive insult.

[–]niggertron9000 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess it really depends on your target market. I really don't see any feminist taking an RSD course while guys who are already RP or into pickup will simply galvanize more around the feminists reactions.

What will happen is that the content on the freetours will be a bit more politically correct while bootcamps, hotseat and world summit will be more open as they've always been. The content they put online will also be more pc to avoid angering the feminazis.

[–]foldpak111 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He makes more money and bangs hotter chicks than the white knight, so yeah... fuck what he thinks.

[+]foldpak111 -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Julian is a sociopath (aka alpha) so it's definitely an act. I've acted like a nervous beta before to take off the heat. Lose the ego and adopt multiple personalities for different situations. It's not about morality or your ego, it's about manipulating others to get what you want and that's exactly what Julian did.

[–]thenarrrowpath 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm certain Tyler had him do it. Better to fold on this one, or else their clients will be harassed by those violent protestors.

[–]zuk1 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All the debate about how he handled it is pointless. The fact is RSD will grow after this, mark my words.

[–]Jamisbike 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Fucking genius. The amount of Money rsd will get after this video is so huge.

[–]TimPartendale0 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I may consider giving them cash just to show my support of their cause.. Fuck yeah RSD helps people seduce women to an extent ALTHOUGH you can bet that more women will be browsing the pickup community to spot what men are doing.

[–]niggertron9000 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except that really good game is invisible. Take a look at Alex's or Todd's approaches

[–]hohamocha 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Julien blanc is beta as hell. he cannot even defend his actions. "Diss fatties" is so easy to defend. Just ask the CNN guy if someone who has no self control and shovels food like crazy and does not take care of their health/ ruins their health should be praised or shamed. We shame smokers, why not fatties?

But nooo, Blanc had to apologize like a little bitch.

[–]Rosenmyah 21 points22 points23 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm pretty sure the way he acted in the interview was premeditated. He realizes he fucked up by being a bit too aggressive and is going to "cut his losses" and just apologize. He doesn't actually give a fuck about the shit he has done and said. That's just my take I could be wrong. My logic is that being banned from these countries gives him a smaller crowd to work with for his seminars and clients. Less countries to visit means less customers and in turn less money for Julien.

[–]niggertron9000 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

  1. Take a step back.
  2. Give a statement of Empathy.
  3. Step in again.

Pressure on/Pressure off.

[–]blinkyone 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

+4. ???

+5. Profit (gain publicity)

You need to realize that RSD can't advertise in the traditional sense, so they have to resort to alternative methods to solicit new followers. Even if he was overly aggressive and made a mistake, they capsized a perfect opportunity to self-promote themselves.

Moms and beta-white-knights will gawk with awe, but they will walk away, where the suspecting young folks will come in and seek out Julien's methods.

[–]niggertron9000 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree, that's why their advertising has always been since several years back to put the content of the free tours on youtube.

The publicity will just bring more dudes into pickup. The betas will stay betas and the soccer mom/feminazis will keep throwing their tantrums

[–]blinkyone 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if Julien gets axed in the UK/AUS or wherever, it only proves the feminist propaganda that eroded in those societies. Suspecting folks seeking enlightenment to their life-long disenchantment will find so online, and that is when they can set themselves free.

Hell, even Roosh V talks about the destruction feminist states, hopefully this will inspire man-children to rise up and seek opportunities abroad and to realize the destruction that such misguided political-machine it has become.

Let's just say hypothetically Julien can never "pick up" again, at least he has slayed more pussy than the average beta and the beta he formerly was. If he had to hitch with a girl, I'd say he'd also fulfilled his RSD days as glory days of his youth. He is expediting the process of feminazi formation until one they reach the tipping-point and realize TRP truths that will deconstruct their misguided ideologies, and along with them their shoddy sense of self-esteem and psuedo-masculine faux-machismo.

David Wright and David Deangelo, Girls Chase and countless other 'dating coaches' won't cease their operations. Julien is just taking the heat for us all. We should be thankful that he is. Someday when our further generations look back, he will be worshiped on the likes of a Greek hero that we admire today in academic texts.

[–]redcamo 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Makes no fucking sense. If his grand master plan was to stir the pot for publicity then he could have used this interview to REALLY shake up the status quo. Similar to the way this guy did in that legendary Dr. Phil interview that went down in history.

I really don't think Julien is the machiavellian mastermind this sub makes him out to be. Waging a campaign of profoundly offensive (to the mainstream) behavior only to cave in and apologize for all of it? What the hell is his material going to be like going forward from here, now that hes apologized for his whole persona?

No way he planned this shit. Hes just an example of what can happen when you truly give too few fucks. And unfortunately hes now another example of how not to handle it when it blows up in your face.

Man.

That is one of my favorite intros I have ever seen when it comes to shows like that.

"All women are whores"

"A penny saved is a woman fired. Women make horrible employees"

"Women should not be allowed to vote is ridiculous"

"A woman president would be a disaster"

Etc etc etc

I understand again why Julien had to do what he did but, owning it I believe would have served him better.

You already are "caught". Might as well go out with guns blazing.

Again, I get what he had to do but, like Redcamo said above he should of shook up the status Quo a bit. A LITTLE bit could of not hurt.

Oh man I love that guy, A+ entertainment the whole way. Reminds me of this hero.

Australia banned his visa and kicked him,and the UK and other countries would probably have done the same if he didn't show up and apologize. You are stupid if you wouldn't have done the same.

I'm not stupid enough to land myself in a situation like this in the first place. But if it WERE me in his shoes I would have just kept my head down for a few years instead of trusting in the mob to accept an apology. I don't think this appearance is going to change shit for him.

It's interesting how the UK could ban him given he's European.

facepalm times a million! Julien in mainstream! Be prepared guys, the world is coming to an end!

He purposely failed. The wave of outrage was building up, and he was trying to keep it going for as much publicity as possible before the wave was going to crash. And he just successfully stopped a disaster.

Man, my friend was actually an intern for RSD and went out with Tyler a couple of times. Just imagine if I offered to invest money in the company... I would be seeing some huge returns soon.

[–]crackstacked 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He did good he just forgot to do a name drop. "I'm so sorry that me and my company real social dynamics offended anyone". Then it would of been perfect.

RSD was the antagonist in "The Game" and it gave them so much publicity even to this day,

This is just another thing that will bring them more business

I couldn't do this interview. I'd make myself look worse. I have my ghetto-ness under control for the most part, but some motherfucker talking to me like the host talked to Julien would result in some kind of violence.

I would've just looked at him with the amused mastery smirk as if I were talking to a little boy, which he was.

For everyone that has seen Gone Girl, Julien plays this interview pretty damn well. I don't think he owned it quite as well as he should have, but brilliant nonetheless.

"Gone girl"????

(SEMI-SPOILERS. DON'T CONTINUE READING)

Man, I just seen that two nights ago.

SO many Red Pill truths in that flick.

"Amazing Amy" had ice water in her veins and played every man (And women) like a puppet with her moves.

Great flick. Women and awareness still leaves me foggy a bit. I know it was just a movie but still.

He pretended to be a nervous pussy to make society think they won and keep RSD alive. I'm pretty sure we could all agree that Julian could've verbally destroyed the white knight if his company wasn't on the line.

He may have been coming off as whatever.. but there's no such thing as bad publicity. He's laughing all way to the bank.
