My background:

I'm a lurker. I get the mentality behind lurkers & those posting questions here - we want to get laid more, be more assertive with women etc. Let's be honest, what straight guy doesn't want this. The motivation behind us coming here makes sense to me.

My question:

I don't get why people post such lengthy advice/stories/theories here. If you write a massive diatribe trying to persuade strangers to adopt your approach towards women, or report back after getting laid/achieving anything because of trp, or spend any significant time contributing to this subreddit... who the fuck wastes their time doing this? How is this characteristic of an alpha male, or any aspirational figure? The content of these posts might be aspirational, but I'm skeptical about the motivation to post this, and therefore the posts' validity, efficacy & value.

My gut reaction:

I can't think of any reason to post like this other than seeking validation from other red pill members. But then if you practice what you preach, and such practices are successful, why seek validation from internet strangers? You're either not following your own advice, or it's not really working for you either. Isn't the red pill kind of like an institution - its members are invested in it, and so therefore doesn't want it to become obsolete, wanting to always attract new members but never quite satisfy them to the point that they move on?

My request:

Answer the above questions. Presumably you're invested in trp, you've spent time on here, but don't feel obliged to defend it - I'm not attacking it.

I've already spent too much time writing this
