It's a little more complex than this. You aren't just your paycheck or your degree. You're your looks, your personality, your status, fame, prestige, etc.

You might make peanuts as a fireman, but if you're buff, run into burning buildings, and have personally saved several dozen lives, and people in your town admire you for that -- then it doesn't matter if you dropped out of high school and make 23k a year. You're an eligible man.

Also, while most women like the same traits, generally, many women weigh them differently, and the weights a woman may apply to different traits change as she ages. For example, a college party girl slut will heavily prioritize looks, while not expecting her sexual partners to have degrees or full time jobs. A single mom will prioritize income, home ownership, and job stability. And you'll see all kinds of things in between. Fancy degrees and a huge income are never negatives, but the amount of weight you get for them can vary woman by woman.

This is the problem for them; hypergamy is a relative concept. If she's living in a cave 2 million years ago, fucking some square jawed low brow knuckle dragger, and then his brother starts showing off his swanky new cave and new animal skins, she's gonna want to trade up. "Hypergamy" is up....from whatever her current position is.

If a woman is a doctor, then her dating pool is level of doctor, and up. That's a pretty small pool she's basically looking to date in the top 2-3% of earners she's looking at surgeons, senior doctors, partners in legal firms, judges etc. Hypergamy is relative, its always "up" from whatever her station is and if her station is already pretty high, the pool of suitable men is shrinking. If you are a queen, the the only men you are going to be willing to fuck are kings, and they ain't a dime a dozen.

Feminism has really fucked women into a corner, because the truth about female nature is that they do not want these positions. Men want these positions. Men want positions of power, prestige, and high earnings. Women want men in these positions, not the positions themselves. It just doesn't motivate them the same way it does men. Men are more competitive, simple fact of nature.

Feminism has taught women (and succeeded with the help of the state, stacking education against boys) to out compete men, at being men.

Then they get to 37 and realise they are not happy. They followed a career path (high powered, prestigious, competitive, high earning positions) because feminists told them to, when in reality its just not something that appeals to the female mind. So they get there, they are 37, nose grinding against "the wall", and they realise they are at the top of the pyramid and there is no man to trade "up" to.

They have totally painted themselves into a corner where they are not happy, and its too late to do anything about it, and I say fuck'em.

When it comes to careers, women are like men. In order to get high paying jobs, they have to put in time and work. They have to go to school, get degrees, work their way up the ladder, etc. In short, by the time they're making lots of money, they tend to be older. Older women are less attractive. So the women who are "successful" are usually older, and therefore less attractive. So it isn't really a loss. I don't want a bitchy 35 year old career woman anyway. Even if she still looks decent, there are hotter, younger, less demanding ones out there.

I've always said women only date "up"

They only date men that are:

-taller (literally UP)
-higher social value (UP)
-earn more financially (UP)
-more intelligent (UP)

It's not a bad thing it's this way.. it's a natural way for women to attempt to only breed with the best of the best.

So when I hear of these stories about "College Educated Women are single" I laugh because that only means they have raised their own level of expectations so high they will rarely ever be happy as they all feel they have to "settle"

Meanwhile that doesn't stop them from FUCKING dudes until their perfect man sweeps them off their feet.

What people are overlooking is how beneficial this is to society

In the short term, the high achieving women will be split into two camps. One camp will manage to marry upwards and produce great kids with great futures. This will obviously be a small percentage

The second camp, the larger, will fail to marry or will marry only to have it collapse due to her unhappiness, and their kids will be grist for the labour mill doomed for obscurity. Needless to say, these women will serve as societal paradigms of failure and the simple truth that choices have consequences will be finally remembered and reinforced. These "failed" women will be winnowed out of the system, and their genes wont be passed on.

Ultimately, society benefits. Either through the production of superior stock or having failed women being held up as examples of the dangers of stupidity. When combined with the much discussed marriage strike, societal reform is nearly guaranteed as one group of people are replaced by another group better adapted for the demands of the time

yeah, so even if a woman has a medical degree and is earning 100k+ a year, or is a financial director or something, is fit and healthy etc etc etc...

...she will expect a man that not only is attractive enough for her, but also is more intelligent and earns more than her.

Thing is though, those men have options. Options of hotter women than her regardless of the intelligence/salary.

This feminism and "happy and single", "strong independant woman" bullshit makes it harder for women to be satisfied with any man, therefore they complain.

women weren't made to be equal to men. women are meant to be inferior to men. mess with nature and you become unhappy.

The funny thing: women get more degrees but men ominate the degree programs that pay.

You have legions of women with vanity degrees that they give to anyone with a pulse and enough student loan debt, thinking their MFA in common arts entitles them to date doctors, lawyers, engineers, and businessmen. (Even in a world where a plumber can out earn a lot of office workers, and certainly most debt laden arts degree holders)

Conclusion: Holy Hypergamy, Batman! These girls aren't just refusing to date down. They're also so vastly overestimating their value that they won't settle for anything that's not several steps above them.

I know a very few ladies that seem to make a habit of selecting known and obvious losers for LTRs - literally, married men with no job, locked into infininite debt, with terrible personal lives, and absolute NOT alpha at all. In one case, he's smaller, lighter, and definitely less of a go-getter than her (and she's not at all heavy, he's just a tiny man). He gets taken advantage of all the time, in personal and professional life. I've met him - a full omega.

And these few ladies fight for these men. But this is few, and at best, the exception that "proves" the general rule (by being such obvious exceptions).

Just to clarify women aren't attracted to intelligence in the same way that they are attract to other things on a limbic level such as individuals with narcissistic personality disorder. They are attracted to the by products of intelligence such as achievements, social status, wealth, etc.

The problem with this article that is referenced is the same as every other article written by a blue pill man (Sorry Jon Birger: I call em as I see em here.) As with all these type of articles, they blindly assume that men look for the same qualities in a woman that a woman looks for in a man.

I agree that most women don't date down. AWALT! But most of my Red Pill friends wouldn't be seen with these women. Most the guys I know limit these so called "High Value" women as just fuck buddies at most.

As with most of these types of articles, they provide positive validation as to why these post wall women are alone.

Ex: uptight lawyer dating starving male artist who does not have "schedule" in his dictionary.

Goodie 4.0 student dating the thug bad boy who dare to confront others.

Aging, wealthy, married mom dates the pool boy who is young, poor, but extremely positive and liberated.

It does sound like a perfect storm. However, we are not voles or fish, we have a moral compass that animals do not. So my belief, my hope, is that once you shine a light on this stuff the behavior will change. I kind of believe that once everybody knows that guys are acting like pigs or that women are better off expanding their dating pool, the behavior will change.

The article gets really, really really close to exposing the 20% / 80% rule and misses it. The male "pig" is the Alpha with options. The woman just made the classic error of then applying that to all men.

She's basically making the 80% of men disappear.

As someone who works in retail, I've still dated older women (including milfs) who are much more well established and wealthy than I am. Women do still date unemployed schmucks so I like to think that as long as you're ripped and have some form of intelligence (with my masters in science being a testament), you'd still have a chance. Besides, that way, at least I can weed out the gold diggin' hoes and not have girls see me as some kind of "caption save a ho" provider.

Except the quote is an opinion. The same facts could be said to support the opinion that to earn more, you should be married, instead of the other way around.

Some employers will promote married men over non married men as they are "more responsible" and "less disruptive" because the have been vetted by a woman. And who is a better choice of a reliable provider then a woman?

Think about it from a female point of view. You are already preselected at being a stable provider because a woman chose to marry you. Therefore you must be reliable to show up for a job, dedicated to continue to be employed so you can continue to provide, and stable to be a good employee.

So any female employer, or any BP Beta male employer will see you for the preselected "good" employee that you could be, simply because you are married. In some places, a wedding ring on your finger is almost a better CV then your actual CV.

I'm not very wealthy by far.. I'm not a 6ft football player/fireman Chad either. However, I'm decent looking, stylish, smart, and fun to hangout with.

Money has literally never been an issue when it comes to attraction for me. I'm a graphic designer who only earns a little more hourly than maybe a sous chef I'm also an artist who shows work in galleries. I live in a little shit shack closet apartment too with roommates. Most women I date earn more money than me. A lot of them will do nice things like buy me dinner or buy me a coffee without me ever extending to do similar in their direction.. Although I usually will if I have the ability to.

I'm sure the top 1% of hot women in LA aren't going to go for a guy like me and they probably need a guy who's going to pay for all their shit, but I still attract relatively decent women who have pleasurable personalities. It's not all about the money. Even if you make a lot of money, they can always just divorce rape you and get a healthy chunk of it or pull some dinner whore moves and use you for meals.

I'm sure the more "normal" women you find in the suburbs would never put up with a guy like me, but I do relatively well for myself in the city.
