i heard a few years later (from our acquaintance) that she ended up in a drug rehab program, and has two kids from two different fathers
sad thing is that she and I were top of the class through grade school...she was smart and beautiful...in high school she started partying with the guys 3-4 years older and deliberately dumbed herself down to fit in...I told her back then she was selling herself short and was going to regret it.
I am a bit sad... she was my crush from grade 4 to grade 10...but I am so glad I dodged a bullet.

I'll definitely be taking those actions into consideration. In my opinion it should also be considered that it is possible for people to learn from their mistakes. The way I see it is that provided she isn't pregnant, loaded down with debt, or has any other problems, and is willing to work to re-earn my trust, I would be open to the possibility of giving her a chance.

As I was getting older and older I've started to see women in general like victims of the status quo rather than being acknowledge of their own decisions. When we are all young people, we're most of the time under pressure trying to make the best version of ourselves in order to be likeable to others, obviously, this is not the average rule for everyone, there are simply people who doesn't give a shit at early ages about this because they assume quickly that they cannot rival standards of what a good-looking person has to be, this is not the case for most of the women, they're constantly under judgement and even though they can have a good time with an average looking-guy they end up thinking that they deserve even more like a handsome guy with a good status because society and their inner circle teach them the way it has to be for a "princess" like her.
The outcome could be fatale for them when they get older and look behind to all the mistakes they have been making across the years in order to pursuit an idealistic romance dismissing all the lights and shadows that life serves you in a bundle.
It's a pity as time passes how its promoting more and more the ideal of a "free and empowered woman who deserves everything without even lift a finger for it" reenforcing even more gender stereotypes to a ridiculous levels ever seen before but in the meantime... just let's enjoy the decadence.

She reached out to me because she heard I had done well and thought she could "get" me (even though she knew I was married.)
I heard from other people (prior to her contacting me) that she had been married, cheated on her hubby, got divorced, and then tried to hook up with some other married guys.
When I say "i feel a bit sad", it is only for the nostalgia of that sweet, beautiful, smart girl who I used to talk to on the phone with (as friends...we were innocent kids) all the time, dream about, and who I would have done ANYTHING for back when we were young. It was innocent and sweet "puppy love"...I hadn't hit puberty yet and my obsession was not sexual.
I still have pictures of us together at our grade 8 graduation (she was my "date"... I brought her a corsage, and her dad drove us to the ceremony.)
Looking back, it is hard to believe less than a year after that photo was taken, she was bouncing around in the back of various 17-year olds car and pretending she didn't understand math or science so she could get other older guys to "tutor" her on spares when her parents weren't home. (Her house was a 5 min walk from our high school.)
I got over her well before the end of high school. The stories I heard about her behaviour and what I saw in class made me realize she was beyond saving, and I couldn't respect someone who had no respect for themselves.
Choices have consequences.

I know of a similar story, and turned out the girl was pregnant again and was trying to hook up with the guy so she could pin it on him.
When her plan failed, she falsely accused him of rape. Fortunately her story was very inconsistent and he had a good alibi, but if that wasn't the case it would have ruined his life. No consequences for her, of course.

And also they aren't simping or anything because guess what.... we are in fact just friends. And i am glad. They are also definetly not stroking my ego because most we do is make fun of each other and having fun. There a simply guys who i find attractive in a way that goes beyond friendship and well most just not. I generally agree.
I used to think the opposite, but what I have observed over many years:
these friendships are never purely platonic...I am either thinking or have thought (on some level) about what it would be like to have sex with them, or they are thinking the same about me.
a bit of booze brings out the truth...more than once I have had female friends (who know my wife) have a few drinks and then tell me things in hushed tones like "you should have picked me" or "if you ever split, call me". vile shit, especially under the circumstances. these people are no longer friends.
it is almost always one-sided... they have no problem asking me to assemble something, or build a deck, or diagnose a car problem, or drive them to the airport, but there is nothing they can really do to reciprocate...hell, even when we have gone to grab dinner, after me helping with a bunch of shit over the years, the expectation would be that I was paying.
it is these kinds of things (and other observations through my travels) that red-pilled me a number of years ago...I shared all of these observations with my wife and she agrees completely.
There is one exception (she is much older..in her 60s...super-smart, wise, and kind...and she, my wife and I have a truly strong friendship), but I have generally cut contact with any single female "friends" we had.
Between the points above and their constant bitching about "why can't I find a good man" (I am NOT joking...it was a constant...no understanding of their RMV or SMV) or whining about their ex-husbands or ex-bfs, I decided it wasn't worth my time to keep up the relationships.
one last observation...if you work hard, invest wisely and achieve financial independence, be prepared for many female "friends" from your past to come out of the woodwork, and from your present to start hitting on you.
