I've lurked in FDS a bit since reading about it in the WSJ and it poses and interesting question to me.

A lot of the views espoused in it are very similar to what I was taught as a conservative Christian: Porn is bad, man should pay for dates, man should commit before sex, want children, etc. Conversely a lot of the views seem opposite - lists that include "no Republicans" or other conservative attributes, often juxtapositioned against the qualities that are generally deemed traditional.

So would you all consider being religious as a net positive or a net negative in a HVM? I am not referring to media caricatures of religious people but rather sincere people. In my experience I've seen it go both ways; there were some women who viewed me as being "safe" and an easy target and there were some women who viewed me as uninteresting since I don't drink, etc.
