Why are you deeply in love? I just read your other post in your history. This is an age gap relationship, and he’s clearly got porn sickness. He scrolls through Insta for hours? He’s disconnected from reality. He feeds you just enough crumbs of attention at vulnerable moments in your life in order to keep you from starving, so that even peanuts feel like potatoes, and you think you’ve been saved. You would legitimately have more confidence, control, self assurance, and BOUNDLESS opportunities without him. Please dump him. He won’t change, he’s a grown man, and you’ve settled so hard a sinkhole is forming. You deserve so much better.

Not all, but enough. More than enough.

These type of people thrive off of attention. The more we dedicate ourselves to the relationship, the more we sacrifice of ourselves, the more they feed off of our boundless capacity for love.

There will never be enough. He will suck you dry until you are the living dead then ask you why you’re so ravenous for his flesh.

Sorry to get a little poetic there, but you’ve got to understand, he is not capable of loving you. You feel used because his intention was to use you from the start. You’re deeply in love because that’s what he needed you to be. You can’t suck the life force from someone who thinks you’re “pretty cool, I guess”.

I think he craves for your attention, now it is more like a self-esteem issue, you think you are in love, in reality you cannot deal with the fact that he is interested enough to give breadcrumbs, but not enough to commit fully. Narcissist by the book tactic, be nice and make as you do not care, fake it until you make it, the power balance will change, then cut him off, no matter what your instincts (ejem feelings) says, he does not love you, in the long-term you will feel more satisfied. Keep searching, men are like fish, there is plenty of them.

This sounds like the guy I was dating. He made me feel horrible. I think at some point you have to let that man go and put yourself first but of course that’s always easier said than done. I’m still struggling myself but now when he texts me he actually ruins my fucking day because he could leave me alone instead and stop stringing me along. I’m still contemplating blocking him bc I’m conflicted but I’m sure once I do life will start to fall back into place. Does he also disrupt other areas of your life? I’ve noticed that you know you’re in a bad situation with someone when they’re disrupting other areas of your life with their negligence and it sounds like he’s really making you doubt yourself and it’s just not worth thinking about him anymore. And also not every guy is like the guy you’re describing there are def loyal and decent men out there but I get it we normally don’t give those guys a chance because they’re not as “exciting” or whatever.
