Intro

RedPilling for ~2 months. Lifting, reading, STFU, got a few new clothes, which I need now because i'm down from 5'11" 201Lbs to 176 lbs. 20% body fat. BPing for YEARS, in a huge perceived SMV hole I am digging out of. I recognize she is not attracted to me as a reality, not my #1 focus. Leading and respect and boundaries are my current focus.

Own my own business from home, set my own hours. SAHM with 3 kids aged 2, 11, 14, homeschool tho the oldest is in public school.

The Set Up

Yesterday I got back from a ~7 hours away business trip, gone Sun-Tuesday evening. I said I'd be home late Tuesday, did not text on way back with an ETA or specific time. When I did arrive at 8:00PM or so, the family was surprised.

Part two: Today Wife took the toddler to story time at the library and I went to the gym. I believe I told middle child I was going to lift, can't remember exact words. Got some mouthwash while I was out. (Middle child forgets this.)

I get back, and the wife is surprised I went to gym without telling her.

The Shit Test

"you say you want to be part of this family but you get to go wherever you want whenever you want, If I go to the store I have to ask everyone if they need anything, but you just do what you want ..."

Whut.

The store I went to is 3 blocks away. The supermarket you go to is a 15 minute drive each way. Also, no one said you HAD to ask us all for permission. (I did NOT say that, that's DEERing, I know.)

Instead I said "it seems like you want to be more informed of my plans, and for me to be more conscientious. That seems reasonable." and changed the subject. I did not respond to the mouthwash thing 'cuz that's silly.

Meta:

I'm looking to set the expectation that yes, I do want to be part of the family, and yes, I do what I think is right. If she wants me to do otherwise she'll need to convince me. I think what I said failed to convince here.

Taking a step back, the feminine imperative control/shaming tactics are so clear. It's crazy. Here's an example:

Her: "I want you to tell me where you are going, but if I tell you you need to do that you'll complain I am controlling."

Habituated Blue-Pill-lite response: "Oh not, I can see where you're coming from and I can be more conscientious. That's not controlling."

----> The set up is: Ask unreasonable thing, then say that it makes her a horrible person, to which I am habituated to white knight, do the thing, AND overcome her insecurities and say everything is fine.

What I should have said:

"You're right. So you'll have to convince me."

Grr.

Still learning.
