Pills dont work. They are all a scam. At 49 years old just give a place like Defy Medical a call and get your shit straight. Your levels are low, don't believe the range bullshit. You won't get help from your regular doc because you are in that range. I stit at around 900-1k ng/dl on trough days. I will be 45 this week and haven't felt this good since my 20s.

Are you having symptoms of low T? I didn’t when I was at that lol, but everyone is different. So, if you’re having symptoms it’s worth looking into. I doubt a primary care is going to give you T at those levels, but some specialty docs and T clinics will.

It’s more about the symptoms than the levels when you are near 500.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am going to insist on some intervention I think. I do have symptoms and it's worse when you have one ball working.

TT493 and FT10 is not good. Those ranges are based on population averages, not what levels will make you a goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus. My TRT doc says he likes to get FT into the low twenties before patients see a substantial improvement in libido and erections. You might want to visit r / testosterone for a bunch of field reports from guys on TRT.

I am 43 years old and tested 11.1 nmol/L range is 8.4 - 28.8 nmol/L which is converted to 320 in US measurements. I am told I have no recourse because I fall within range.

With my insurance, my TRT is around $20 per month. My levels were 400 post-vasectomy, so still in the normal range. However, I complained of libido and fatigue issues so the doc was fine prescribing test.

Levels below the 500-600 range put men at risk for many diseases, cardiovascular, Alzheimer’s etc. so if you’re having symptoms and your primary doctor isn’t willing to treat you I would find another doctor. You could also go the telemedicine route and pay out of pocket, about $150/month, look into Defy medical, Viking Alternative Medicine and other clinics, they can mail your prescriptions to you every couple months. There’s several TRT Facebook groups you can get more information and men’s experiences.

Had a vasectomy 20 years ago, had no negative effect on T. My natural T level was around 800, not bad for a guy in his 50s. Wanted my T higher so that I could feel 20 again and make gains in gym despite my old age. Doc was reluctant bc it would kill my decent natural production and my balls would shrivel up. So instead he ordered HCG shots twice a week (no T shots) which has increased my natural T production and FT levels and I can feel it without the ups and downs and guesswork that T shots entail! Got lots of wood, feel great, and breaking PRs regularly at the gym.

So if your T is ok for your age, but you miss your youth levels, try HCG. It works for me.

493 is EXTREMELY low. Don’t let your pcp convince you otherwise. I’ll have to find the source, but average 80 year old has 470 testosterone I believe.

I went on TRT after vasectomy crashed my testosterone. It got down to 420, and I’m 39 years old, body fat 15%, no previous issues with low testosterone.

6 months after vasectomy I’m crying every day and my dick doesn’t work.

TRT changed my life, feel 100x better, I use a private pay lab and it’s about $150/month out the door.
