Bad, bad choice.

The natural female reaction there isn't "fight or flight", it's "tend and befriend". Any woman, shitty or decent, that is used to take the lead on these situations, will do it trying to deescalate.
Her reaction just means she's used to take the lead and "defend" herself with her weaponry, so what you ought to do is take the lead yourself and let her know this isn't her role anymore, it's yours and you'll handle it as you must. With time she'll task you upon it.

Women that throw noisy tantrums in these situations despite being single are the noisy SJWs that rest ASSURED that "society ought to take their side". These are the damaged ones.
