I'm going to break this down in the nicest way possible. Complaining and moaning about the world is not going to change it. Only you can change yourself. Stop caring about what is going on in the world or what people do in their private lives. The more you resist against the current modern environment, the more you will suffer long-term. You'll eventually be censored and told to ''Mind your own business''.

Take it from me. Degenerates are extremely hostile to those that point out their flaws or the reality of the world. Start prioritising yourself over society and anyone you are in contact with. Relax from watching youtube videos explaining the ''horrible situation'' in the West and stop taking things personally. I was once like you. You bring up something I’ve spent a lot of time contemplating. I can tell the problems of society bother you like they bother me. Two things come to mind I felt are worth mentioning.

A society’s culture changes and evolves over time. Essentially, it is cyclical. Take the Roman Empire as an example. They were, and perhaps still are, a crowning achievement of what a unified society united by stronger leadership could achieve. At the time, men were allowed and encouraged to be ambitious and excellent. Eventually more and more of society became dependent on the state, and the great Roman Empire declined, never to recover. My thought is that this current decline affecting western civilization will bottom out and there will be some sort of paradigm shift, whether it be positive, such as a technological advancement or cultural revolution, or negative, like a Great War, famine, biological epidemic, meteor impact, etc. There is a saying that goes: “strong men create good times, good times create soft men, soft men create hard times.” While I hope we are close to the bottom, it’s likely we are still many years away. Sadly, it can get worse. The good news is that if western civilization fails, I see eastern civilization, such as China taking its place. These things are cyclical and despite how bad things seem, they always rebound at some point.

The second thought contradicts much of what you find here although some share the same notion that despite how bad things are, nothing is stopping you from being excellent and influencing the world positively. The media’s job is to manipulate you by way of presenting a certain perspective. The governments job is the same, what with puritanical fundamentalists encouraging religion to affect people, and now especially with the religion of political correctness and Marxism affecting your ability to be excellent. At the end of the day, no one can force you to do anything you don’t want to do, and no one can prevent you from being excellent. If you don’t like where culture and society are headed, do something about it. While I accept that some people would rather just enjoy the decline, and they are surely entitled to their decision, I believe it is more important to fulfill ones purpose. The sad thing is, so many people have been misled when it comes to finding their purpose and striving for it. Many more, as others suggest, would rather remain plugged into the matrix. You choose to see the world for how it is or for how you want it to be. These are all choices you, myself and everyone else has. So make the most of exercising autonomy while you can, you could die tomorrow.

Many of these aspects are the outcome of technology (internet: porn and direct communication), a loss of values (less religious education) and a widespread yolo mindset. Many people no longer give their lives meaning by raising and educating offspring which will carry the family name.

People simply don't care about many former standards and social norms and, for better or worse, currently there seems to be an ENORMOUS difference between what is precariously upheld as the "norms" and what really happens in daily life. It's almost as if you have older generations and less socially skilled people naively reverberating outdated assumptions while an entirely different set of values and behavior exist in real life.

This change seems to be inevitable. There are many downsides to that, some of which you mentioned above. The outcome of freedom is always a double-edged sword. Pandora's box has been opened.

As for the Presidency, I disagree, regardless of ideology I think a manly President such as Trump is great news compared to a limp-wristed yes man such as Obama. Politicians such as Obama and Justin Trudeau are dangerous to society.

I think society is not degenerate, just reverted to a natural state. Hoes have always been chasing the mythical 20%, nothing changed there.
