I am generally confident, sociable and it's easy for me to meet new people and keep up an interesting conversation. In terms of looks, you would imagine I would be getting way more attention than I currently do. This made me think about how I present myself to new people to begin with. So far, I have been successful in quite a few things that I have done, e.g. working abroad, travelling, attending conferences, latin dancing, etc. I surely don't boast about my achievements or looks but I was recently told by a friend that when he met me first he felt somewhat "intimidated". This made me think in general terms of how open and confident a woman should be when she meets men for the first time.

Would guys find it more interesting and challenging if a woman is not too chatty and keeps them at arm's length in the beginning? Is it really the case that good quality men can get intimidated by a woman's achievements? I'm far from thinking I should be playing dumb or hard to get. I know that much as guys would like an independent woman next to them they would also want one that's feminine and to a certain extent "vulnerable". Interested in knowing to how confidence and extroversion might be playing against me. Are men more likely to be interested in women that say less/keep it mysterious and slightly more distant when they first meet?
