I’ve been on six dates so far, and honestly, the experience has been pretty rough. As I mentioned in my last post, while I know I’m physically attractive, I struggle with confidence and mental aspects of dating, which I’m actively working on. On these dates, I thought things were going well, but I may have come across as too needy, talked too much about my past relationships, and seemed overly focused on long-term outcomes. I realize now that I was jumping in too quickly, and that’s something I need to work on, which is part of why I’m here for advice.

Moving forward, I plan to keep things simple: no more expensive dinner dates over $100. I’ll stick to coffee or ice cream meetups, keeping the emotional investment low. I’ve been rejected by five out of the six women I went out with, and I’ve only been physically involved with one. It’s been a humbling lesson, but I’m learning each time.

It’s tough, and yes, I tend to get anxious and take time to warm up on dates. But from now on, I’m aiming to show less interest and maintain low expectations, just to see where things go without added pressure. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated, I’m here to learn and improve!
