First time poster, but been lurking for a while. I'm a 47M coming out of a 20 year marriage (23 years together in total), and wanting to know where to start with getting into dating.

Prior to getting married I didn't have much success with women in general, with the main sticking points being low confidence, poor self esteem and shyness / approach anxiety around girls. In the last three or four years I've really worked on improving myself and as such, my fitness, confidence and self-esteem has improved considerably.

Unfortunately the approach anxiety remains and although I've made it this year's task to improve, I'm only at a stage where I can say "Hi, how you doing" (or similar) to passing strangers in the street. Having searched on here, I've found lots of valuable information about approach anxiety and gives me hope in being able to overcome this issue.

I do have a few questions about my situation and hope that I can get some feedback or pointers. Although most of these are age related, I'm not suggesting that my age is a problem for me. I'm happy being in my 40's.

1) At my age, what are the realistic options I have for meeting women?

2) Is daygame possible and if so do I need to tailor my approach to reflect my age?

3) Is Tinder an option, and if so how should my profile come across?

4) Are there any other beginners on here of a similar age and how have your experiences been so far?

Thanks.
