Can I get a British opinion on the following perennial advice?

Talk to everyone! Chat up the bus driver! Go up to old people in the park and start talking at them! It's easier because you get nothing out of it!

Is this actually good advice for everyone, everywhere? Or is it just that the Americans who say it don't realise how American they're being?

Too much context details are missing. Verbal communication is only 7% of an interaction, that’s why people says that it’s more important how you say it.

That said, maybe there are cultural differences in UK, as much as there are in Italy (where is both normal getting rejected in very rude ways or getting hugged instantly during nightgame).

Your negs don’t have any pull to them. So a push immediately after the opener will lower your SMV. You need to understand what a good neg is before you start using them so quickly.

Becauuuse mystery method sucks as it's unnatural af. Of course people find it weird. Your opinion openers are canned lines, even if they are your lines. Furthermore, whatever the opinion is and whatever her answer is, it's unnecessary if you want to start a conversation.

You can start a conversation by saying "pineapple" and if she's receptive she will react positively.

Yes opinion openers are unusual, that's why they work.

Negging is an artform and takes a while to master them. Also in general only hot girls need negging.

Girls are girls, UK or not. And they respond to high value.

Here are a few possible reasons why you didn't hook those sets, hard to tell from just a few paragraphs:

. Your body was facing them from the start . They didn't feel like you were about to leave . You negged to much and too early . You're speaking too fast . Your energy is much higher than theirs . Your body language was bad . Etc etc
