In my experience the ones actively engaging in these groups, are really toxic. While it’s a decent idea, the negatives of it outweighs the positive.

I’m sure it has saved some people, but it tuns into a let’s look up court records, snoop their profiles, and cast judgements that may or may not be true. My sister in law does this with every person she meets and it’s absolutely cringe.

I have experienced this...only from women that were scorned and completely excagerate if not flat out lie about their experience with me. It's total horseshit dude, although I have had a few women hear about things and then genuinely not care. Not everyone is inclined to believe it

You just need to move on. Who gives a shit? don’t think about it. Honestly girls who are in those groups are not girls you care about. And if you find out someone who calls you out on it pull a surprised pikachu face and ask them why they’re in it and really just turn the tables on them for being on those groups.

I have never experienced this. But in general, if a woman is a member of such a group I don't want to date her.

Btw. If you discover people are lying about you in the group - check the laws where you live. Because you could in many places sue them.

These groups are in many places illegal. You can also try reporting the group to Facebook for being a hate-group or a group breaking the law.

Dealt with this for years. Why I literally moved to more niched apps basically.

Twas in issue back in 2022 when all this shit started and seeing people get thrown under the fucking bus for nothing. Even looked into whether it counts as defamation which it sure as fuck does.

Now that having been said it HAPPENED because when men that are married or in relationships were getting caught.....the PROBLEM is that its now bringing ALL the good guys into the drag net too.

If you're sleeping around and shit and not being upfront with people like, yeah sorry you can kiss that goodbye.

That having been said I absolutely don't understand how that shit genuinely helps when there's NO recourse or punishment for people lying PLUS....what if one day you met a girl, she acted like an asshole, you called her a bitch cause she was BEING one .....and now THATS the person telling everyone wtf your vibe is like.

Just like the me too movement its gone WAY past the mark.

Nonetheless that does NOT give guys permission to do the same shit or worse. Seen men try to justify like talking shit about a girl and citing where she works.....like bro wtf, that's just BEYOND unsafe and hypocritical as shit.

This has been a thing for the last several years man.

I've spent the last few years meeting women in other cities instead as I've been nomadic a bit.

But yes I don't really think there's an easy way outside of knowing it's gonna happen or just cutting off whatever platform you're meeting women through and backing off.

Also if you weren't aware I believe a man in Chicago tried to sue meta and the owner of a LOT of the fb groups for defamation a few years ago. Not sure what the result was but I was ECSTATIC to see someone going after those groups and owners legally.

Some of the people on those pages get carried away, but i do think those pages have protected women from violent men. Women have a higher risk of being assaulted when going on a date with a stranger from the apps so i understand why women post a man asking for some background. I cant speak for all women but when i would ask “any tea?” on those pages, i was only doing so for my own safety.

Unfortunately i’ve seen men posted on there and there would be comments saying “yes, this man has a history of DV.” I think anonymous comments were turned off so i would like to believe those comments were made in good faith.

My local page got taken down but from what i had seen, the moderators removed comments that would say “he ghosted me after 3 dates” or “i’ve seen him on the apps” because those were irrelevant. We were just trying to be safe. And also make sure we weren’t going out with married/taken man. That was my experience at least, i cant speak for others.

there's nothing you can do and it doesn't really matter cuz the girls aren't doing anything productive anyways.

from talking to a girl I went on a date with, she explained why these groups don't work the way guys fear.

If someone posts you fishing for "tea" a lot of girls who are your friends will jump in and defend you, even if you aren't amazing. girls don't want to see guys lives ruined unless they're really shitty. they are aware that most girls that post in these groups are a mess so most will not actively post you, they'll just search to see if there was any terrible that you've done.

Also, if you actually like the guy, then some girl will tell the guy and then he'll be pissed and cut you loose so you can't really vet him without exposing yourself.

If you don't like him and/or he just ghosted you then you look like a sore loser/sour grapes kinda girls and other girls are wellllll aware of this type of girl who is trying to talk shit about some guy and it's really just that he didn't like her. this is very low-status behavior.

and then a lot of these threads get pretty crazy if you're in urban areas. people are complaining about guys being behind on child support, having a secret family, etc.

girls are generally not going to be that upset by "we had a date, hooked up, and then he ghosted me". that's an undesirable but pretty common outcome for women, not something that they need to blast on the internet.

It’s awful man. Made me ditch online dating altogether. In my case just salty girls upset you rejected them. I called one out and she just tried denying it. Staying offline and just picking up irl has been much more effective.

I've had this happen multiple times. It can definitely fuck your shit up with new girls, as the girls commenting will lie and roast the shit out of guys they're no longer with. One girl doxed my workplace multiple times. And if you ghosted her, forget it.. abuse/rape accusations are common. It's definitely a problem. On the bright side it can provide some notoriety which is good. I had one hot girl posting about me openly without being anonymous and my current girl saw it and had a complete meltdown resulting in some of the best behavior you will ever see lol. Anyway, I've had some success with reporting it as a copyright violation to FB. It can take a while but they will eventually remove the post. Google for a guide on how to go about it. I also report them to the dating app and notify them that the user has used their photos and are now a part of a copyright infringement investigation. The dating apps want no part of that and may ban them. I've also used girly friends accounts and other females I know to infiltrate the groups. If you take screenshots from the group and report the girl in question to the mods saying she is sending screenshots outside the group, they WILL ban them immediately.
