Two FRs here of a different nature but similar lesson:

Story #1:

A girl dumped me about a month ago - we had been seeing each other for about a month. Slept together once and we had a great time together. What was the breaking point?

The weekend before we broke up, we spent every night together. Two of the three nights she invited me out...but all the nights involved a waste of my time in some way. The second night, for instance, she was involved in a super long card game and I waited around for her to finish so I could walk home with her (and perhaps get laid). It ended up being too late (5am), and she was not down for going back to my place.

Story # 2:

This past weekend, my buddy invited me about to meet these girls. It was a pretty easy situation - like 6 girls to just the 2 of us, and I ended up making out with one of the girls within about 30 minutes. By the end of the night I was fingering her in the kitchen, but she was worrying me because she was giving me one of those "overly attached vibes" like she was going to tell me she loved me or something (she kept saying she liked me over and over). She didn't want to have sex, and I could maybe have done some more LMR stuff, but the overly attached vibe made me back off.

Anyways, the next night my buddy gets a text from the girl he was interested in, and tells me to come out and meet them again. Girl still seems into me. I end up hanging out with her and her friends for 5-6 hours, during which time we did some making out, and I was thinking I might get some that night. Anyways, her attraction for me steadily decreased through the night, as I "followed" her and her friends around, and I did not get laid.

Moral of the Stories

Don't be too available, and don't wait around for a girl you were gaming/dating with the hope you might get to bang her that night. If you're not having a good time, just fucking leave. In the first case, I should have not spent every night that week together, or I should have just left when things were getting too late or I felt my time was being wasted. Same thing in the second case...after a certain point I should not let myself "follow" the group, and instead go off and have fun elsewhere.

The reason i'm writing this is that I find it's really easy to get stuck in this trap. While I can often maintain a teasing/unavailable vibe, when a girl indicates attachment to me it can often make me assume that i'm guaranteed to get laid as long as I wait around long enough...don't make that assumption.
