I’m 20F and I don’t particularly like those guys that check me out in a sort of desperate/thirsty manner where they are just clearing looking at my body. Worse if they make some distasteful comment. It makes me uncomfortable. However, if the guy smiles and meets my eyes, it feels different. Like, the guy is actually acknowledging me and not just my physical assets. So I guess I agree with you in that sense.

Two things on this topic.

Make eye contact and hold it. The longer she holds it, the more interested she is.
Make approaching an intuitive thing. Don't stop to think about it, or you'll just make excuses not to. If you get the eye contact, go. A good mindset when it comes to decision-making is "fuck yes, or no".

Do those things, and you won't be thirsty.

Ugh, hate when guys do what your friend does. Your way of looking at a girl shows respect and not desperation or objectifying. A girl will most likely remember you that night because you made eye contact respectfully, then the guy salivating. Especially, if the girl gets a million of those in a night. Just think about it. Who would you remember?

Don't do this, you want your intentions felt but not in a blatant obvious way. The best way to check a girl out is to meet eyes, don't break eye contact until they do first, and then as soon as they break you break. You absolutely do not continuing staring, she will definitely look back but you better not be caught continuing to stare cause then you'll just look like a crazy stalker. You can break a minute then look back to see if she glances over, if she continues to check you out approach immediately

Side note: some guys need some sort of validation when approaching like the example I gave above. Others will just approach immediately. When you get more advanced there's no need to wait, just approach, you'll get more comfortable the more you do it. So many guys get all hung up on one cute girl, don't there are many girls you won't be compatible with no matter how cute they are. So approaching numerous girls is key, don't throw all your eggs in one basket

Like most uncalibrated, hyper-direct behavior, staring at a woman will usually get you rejected. BUT there is an upside.

The women who do respond positively are usually very good leads, because she's obviously into you and wants you to approach. Think of it as a numbers game strategy that's not bad at getting results.

The best way I can explain it is ... imagine you and your friend both enjoy drugs. You’re more of a recreational user and you’re able to stop smoking weed when you feel like it m. But your friend when he sees a bag of weed just can’t help himself and has to smoke it up today. I.e he’s an addict. Try to be very compassionate because he might literally have different brain chemistry which causes him to be overly thirsty and obvious when seeing attractive women. Inform him that his behaviours of turning all the way around and checking women out obviously repel women and that you feel ashamed being with him. That kind of brutal honesty may stop enabling him and wake him up to his addiction. But underneath it all be compassionate.

Should I act like a woman's body is so incredibly hot that I can't control myself and my actions, going so far as to leer in public? No, I don't think I should. That behavior seems simple to me and it isn't classy.

It ain't suave either. I want to be perceived a certain way, such that I'm only going to select behaviors that I'm comfortable displaying, so that I get the results for which I'm looking. Which is regarding my appearance to the world and the narrative that I want to see take place in the world because of me being present.

Being present means acknowledging each woman I find myself attracted to as a separate unique experience. The moment they engage me and my eyes, they've engaged my mind and they feel engaged, too. That leads to rewarding experiences for me, so I keep doing it.

If I were to just be a leering mess, I'm only saying one thing: I want to fuck.

I'm not interested in just fucking, I'm just also interested in fucking. As long as I look like a guy that fucks, then I can act how I like and enjoy my life to be. While also getting to fucks.
