I'm speaking from a guy perspective, but I believe there is a lot of crossover here.

Join groups and make friends of similar interests. Focus on socializing and meeting interesting people. That's priority #1.

Priority #2 will be to meet a nice guy through these groups where you already share some similar interest.

Keep up with the online. It's always gonna be more of a quantity issue. Matching with hundreds of people to only click with a couple of them can be disheartening, but trust me you don't wanna click with hundreds of people. You also don't wanna live in a village with only 1 guy as a decent option.

As far as seeing them again past the first date or hookup that's a much deeper subject that involves finding out who you are as a person and what you project on your dates.

It’s not hopeless, you just have to be patient and try to measure your expectations. You can meet people through online dating or cold approach but most people even in 2022 meet their partner through friends/social circle.

I recommend really diving deep into socializing at events, community gatherings, and making new friends etc...

It might take a few years before you’ll see results that you’re satisfied with, but it’ll be worth it.

I know it’s frowned upon for girls to make the first move, but there are ways to make the first move without “making the first move”. 100 years ago, if a girl saw a guy she liked, she’d walk by and “accidentally” drop her handkerchief, and the guy would pick it up and return it to her, and use that as an opportunity to make a move on her. So the guy thinks he was making the first move, when all along the girl allowed herself to be hit on.

Put yourself in a position to be hit on. Go out to places with your friends where young people will be. You can be subtle and stand near a group of guys or make eye contact and smile at a guy from a distance. Or you can even just start a casual conversation with a guy and pretend to look at the menu and ask a guy next to you what he’s getting. Or look around the place you’re at and just be like “hey I’ve never been here before, have you been? What are the vibes like?” Or just start a similar simple convo in that way.

Most guys would kill to have a girl start a conversation with them at a bat or someplace like that. And if you do it in a chill way like that, it doesn’t seem like your hitting on him, it just seems like your being social. And if he’s not a square, then he’ll take up the opportunity to talk to you and maybe make a move.

Some other tips, when talking to guys, smile and laugh at their jokes, maybe touch their arm now and then. And if your standing around, smile and look friendly and approachable

I've taught women how to approach and they have gotten tremendous results. Much better ROI approaching as a woman than as a man. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm curious what you look like? A few tweaks in your appearance can make a world of difference when it comes to attracting men. We are much more visual creatures and respond favorably to appearance, whereas women care more so about specific character traits and quality of the man's expression.
