Probably not. She was introverted as hell. I mean she sat near me and didn't say a word most of the semester.

Yes, I think I would have made that leap to sit close to her eventually, because there was mutual attraction from the beginning.
So far it's been incredible. GF has similar personality and is my type. There's this natural connection where we just get each other.

I wanted to kiss her the day we held hands on the bus. We were actually both tired then as we had been playing basketball. But like I said, there were a few people on the bus who got up and were leaving at her stop so I couldn't do it.

It's tough as an Egyptian. You're gonna have to get out there and find social hobbies with women in it, or a work colleague, or your last hope - gawaz salonat. I'm in my 2nd year and luckily I've realized before it's too late that uni is the best time and place to hang out with girls.
Nope. That's too forward. I'm gonna keep it a secret for as long as possible till I graduate. I've been talking to this girl for a month and I figure she'll find some way to meet me in the summer. She could tell her parents she's heading to campus to do XYZ and we can take it from there and head out. Or she could say she's going out with a group of girl friends, of which I'd secretly be a part of. Then when her friends leave we could have some alone time. That's what I told her and she thinks it's the most plausible. I told her to tell her dad that I'm just a friend but she thinks it's not a good idea in the long-run.

Oh I thought you were done with college. In that case just work on yourself and actively try to put yourself in situations where talking to women comes naturally and not forced or creepy. I think that involves a hobby or club of interest. In my case there was just clear mutual attraction and I got lucky. Obviously the former. She's a very sophisticated girl who shares common interests with me. We laugh at the same stuff and just get each other.
It's not possible to have sex here. Virginity before marriage is expected in this country. There's no way I'd take that from her. And there's no way we'd ever be in a position where we're alone in a room together. You can't check-in a hotel with a female roomate in Egypt unless you're married. It's that deep.
I will admit though that when we do meet up we almost instantly start making out because 1) we're itching to do so 2)it excites us how risky and "forbidden" it is for us to be kissing. It's honestly very hot making out in secret. We've also discovered parts of campus we never knew existed because of it. Random unused fire staircases is where we're usually hiding at.

You mentioned Egypt twice so I’m assuming that’s where you are located? She probably genuinely doesn’t want to get in trouble with her parents. I wouldn’t push it because it may come off wrong. At some point, if it becomes clear to her you’re genuinely interested and are gunna stick around, she may be more comfortable breaking her parents rules, or even having them meet you? I’d go slow and with the flow.
Yea I'm currently in Egypt. Obviously she is wary of her parents. Every Egyptian girl knows how overprotective their dad is when the subject of boys pops up.
I agree that she shouldn't mention me to her parents now. I'll still see her in secret though. But not as often as the past month unfortunately.

You have to remember I'm in Egypt. Majority muslim country. Kissing a girl you're not married to is a big no no. It's practically forbidden.
That's why I was shocked when she kissed me on the lips. I couldn't believe it. Yea, I kinda figured she wasn't that conservative when she was wearing shorts. Girls usually don't wear shorts here, even in the gym. But still, for her to make the move and kiss me? She does that to a more religious guy and it may end very differently.
I knew from our convos - and I guess she knew too - that we were both a bit more "Westernized" than the average Egyptian. But as much as she was westernized, I wasn't willing to take that risk and go for her lips. It could have backfired tremendously.
Kissing on the cheek was a safer bet in my eyes as people here do that when they greet each other.
