I mean, I'm kinda new here. But I personally try to match the effort of the other person and give up if they're too much of a hassle to work with.
It just seems like a waste of time to work with someone that plays hard to get like this... and the guys that enable this shit by actually trying (and probably failing) aren't getting anything out of it. You're just putting her on a pedestal from the get go from what I'm seeing.

Well, that's no fun! Why would you let any woman affect your frame of mind, like being offended by her method of seduction?
I went through a phase while becoming attractive, where any woman that was attracted to me based on my looks instantly offended me. I was fat for so long that my first thought was, "You bitch! You don't even know what's going on in my head and you're already into me?! Shallow as fuck. Fuck off."
But uh....eventually I got over it. I just wasn't used to being attractive. If a girl looks at me now and gives me the subtle "go ahead", I don't take it personally. I've realized nowadays they typically think I'm outta their league. Ha! Who knew that would ever happen?
Sometimes, you just gotta chill out. Girls are just as insecure as we are and emphasis is placed more on their looks than men. So if they think you're hot as shit already, then they're confused about how to feel, because they're worried they didn't do a good job on their makeup that day. They didn't plan on seeing our fine ass when they left the house and now they have to try and get us to talk to them.

Not only is this is a very specific girl, who doesn't speak to the whole population, but this feeds into the whole nonsense about guys sitting at a distance thinking and not doing.
Looking for signs and not just interacting. If you're sitting to the side not interacting, you're going to be dead in the water socially anyway. You should just be interacting with people. Not trying to evaluate if this one glance was the one you were looking for.
If you're directly interacting with people, all the anxieties and frustrations people are expressing on this thread, are fucking moot.
