Theoretically yes it will work with shy guys, but not in the way you may be thinking. If we asume that you will remain "shy" then you're going about it the wrong way. Part of learning seduction is knowingly stepping out of your comfort zone and working your way to not being shy. The end goal is to be more outgoing and social. That's what's attractive. You have to work towards that.

In other terms. A shy guy can start learning if he's willing to put in the work, but should not strive to remain shy. Shy game is not good game. So while a shy guy can start learning, you can't be good until you stop being shy. You stop being shy by learning and most importantly practicing.

You’re shy because you’re scared of women. The simple answer is to be more confident but here’s a tip that might make you less scared. Once you spot a girl you want to approach, don’t dive in right away. Observe her for as long as you want (without getting caught of course). You might get a good read on her. Knowing your crowd is very important. Before you approach her, make sure she knows that you see her. How do you do this? Flash a smile. Shy guys don’t do that. So you’ve already got her thinking you’re confident. That’s your first impression. Maintain it with the way you walk towards her, the depth and tone of your voice and your body language around her. Once you’ve engaged her, don’t break eye contact unless she does.

Instructions are only as effective as you make them. Especially in the dating game. So don’t be scared.

Being shy is not a good trait to get women in the same way that being overweight, ungroomed or broke is not a good trait. Part of seduction is self-improvement. Getting over your shyness is part of that.

Its really funny. A lot of people who know what I do come up to me and say, "Your stuff is only for confident guys." and I look at them and respond with, "Why would someone that is already confident need to pay to get over confidence issues?"

And there it is. I understand why you'd think this is very hard for a shy guy to do. This subreddit after all is not arranged by experience level so you get to read all kinds of posts from guys with varying levels of experience. Its like getting into a martial arts school with no beginner class, just one class where white belts are mixed in with the black belts that can do things you can't imagine yourself being able to do in a million years.

But if you go through the training in a proper system where they do teach beginner classes and tailor the training to your skill level, suddenly you'll find yourself progressing steadily and the crazy moves you saw the black belts do seem more and more attainable everyday until one day you wake up, years from when you started suddenly able to do those moves that you thought were light years away.

Its the exact same for Game.

Now unfortunately, another thing that game has in common with martial arts is Game also has people that are bone heads who just tell you to push yourself as far out of your comfort zone as humanly possible and do all kinds of crazy shit.

Luckily, there are also technical wizards that know how to teach you and ensure you succeed and really know why you succeeded, none of that "Oh I didn't get her because I wasn't assertive enough" or "I need to have 15 inch arms before I can get girls as hot as her" or "I just need to work on myself and women will come" nonsense.

So my advice for you is, navigate this world like you would a gym. Look out for boneheads and try to steer clear of them, also try to find guys who actually know what they're talking about and who they're talking to when they speak to a beginner. Because if that person is smart enough to take into account your level of experience then chances are he's also smart enough to point you down the right path.

First off, if you feel like a loser, you need to fix that.

Second, sometimes you need to take risks, do something outside of your daily bubble.

As long as you aren't that shy with the girl, yes. There are plenty of girls out there that are looking for homely guys. But again, just don't be shy with the girl yourself.
