I'm 28, but I'm new to the pickup scene (I was in a long time relationship till a month ago), but I'm always been a "no fucks given" kind of guy. I actually never had a rejection in my life, since I've been jumping from relationship to relationship since I was 16, all of which were my friends before dating, so I actually never tried coming on to anyone.

On this saturday night I wanted to know what it felt like to be rejected - just to experience the feeling and also to shield myself from when it happened with someone I really wanted. So I told my friends: "Come up with the most ridiculous opening lines you can, chose any girl and I'll do it".

So I did... and not one of them just walked away or told me to fuck off. The shortest conversation I had was like, 5 minutes or so. Got 'rejected' a few times after those 5 minutes of talking, but you know what? It didn't feel too bad. Some of the stupid lines from the night:

  • (doing the corny hand reading thing) : it says here that you love big dicked guys! Boy, you're gonna be disappointed tonight.

  • (hand reading again) : it says here that you love when guys come on your face! I mean, sorry, that you loves waterparks, I always get those confused.

  • (at a place were we saw 2 trannies): Were you born like that or do you have a real good surgeon?

  • What's your favorite Backstreet Boy? If you say AJ I'll drop you right here!

  • Do you wanna see my helicopter impression? (spins around like a retard)

  • 2 girls talking, I ask them both to turn around an say "hey, watch this" and chug a 1 liter glass of beer. I turn to my friends and say "See, girls are so turned on by crippling alcoholism!" and then introduce myself to both of them.

I'm guessing it worked cause I didn't have any real interest and I came out pretty confident and not desperate at all to get in their pants.

After doing so with random girls, I was confident enough to try it on girls I actually wanted... and it worked too!

TL;DR:

  • My victory: hooked up with a 9/10 (I just found out she's an international model, I shit you not) after using the opening line "Did you dressed like Misty from Pokemon on purpose or aren't you even aware you are making all the internet geeks here mad horny?"

  • My (novice and untested) advice: don't be afraid to be random or stupid, sometimes it's way better to say something crazy than to comment on the lighting or boring stuff like that. Act confident and have fun, that's all that matters. Just don't be a dick and don't act like you are mocking them.

  • My question: is that a regular thing or did I just get very lucky? What's the most stupid thing you ever did that ended up working?
