So I spent about 8 months straight working a job in a small mountain town. I did not meet a single woman the entire time that showed any interest in me. This is partly because men outnumber women by about 4 to 1, so there is just less of a dating market in general.

Not only that, but the people who live in this area tend to be fit and outdoorsy. I am neither. It sucked and I started to get down about myself while I was there. I felt like I must have hit the wall finally.

Then my contract ended, and I was free to do as I pleased. I drove through quite a few states, swiping a long the way just for shits and giggles. I immediately started getting more attention then I ever got back in the mountain town, from women I felt attracted to as well.

I flew to Mexico City, and that did wonders for my self esteem. I am quite big and also blonde so I stand out here which works in my favor. Not only that, but once I started posting on my IG story that I'd be going back to my home city in the states soon, I had multiple women I know from back there asking me to hang out.

My self esteem has done a complete 180, and it's just crazy to me how big a difference your location can make.

This is just to say: before you go believing you're ugly and doomed, maybe move environments. It's entirely possible you're just in a bad dating pool.
