I think it makes sense and seems valid. Eye contact is a great way to gauge interest and maintaining it during conversation can also help you escalate

The article is an opinion piece and I'd have to read through his sources before really trusting the opinions. In my experience, eye contact is powerful, but the direction a woman looks away, or where I look away, really has no bearing on what our relationship is right then. Women communicate in different ways. Eye contact is communication. Therefore, women use eye contact in different ways. I also use my eye contact in various ways and I don't say the same things to different women in the exact same ways.

I have had women look away from me and refuse to look back towards me, but they remained aware of me the entire time. When verbally acknowledged, they verbally responded and still wouldn't make eye contact. Some women are extremely submissive, especially around a perceived extremely dominant man.

I've had other women refuse to look away from my eyes, taking it as a challenge to maintain each other's gaze. Those women are extremely dominant and confident, but not necessarily are they interested. They just refuse to submit, especially to a perceived dominant male, because perhaps they don't want to give up any of their power.

I've had women look up and away like someone slapped the shit out of them. Then walk directly to me and stay in my general area, seeking acknowledgement. What I've perceived this as is that they got busted checking me out.

I've had women take one look and immediately avert their gaze and seemingly purposely avoid ever looking my way again. Eyes locked away onto some object in the distance and concentrating very hard on keeping their eyes there. I assume every time that this is indicative of disinterest. I'm either unattractive to her or she's in a relationship. Either way, not interested.

Not entirely true. I'm not sure if i'm a shy girl or what but mostly I'm just socially okay with people. it's just that i can't hold eye contact for too long with someone i have feelings for. i will try to hide my feelings by not making eye contact, try not to look at him, etc but sometimes i failed too. so i guess i be sending him mix signs. T_T

Women do NOT make eye contact with a man accidentally. If she makes ANY eye contact at all then approach.

Better yet, stop standing around like a little boy waiting for women to give indicators of interest. Many interested women will not give eye contact. Approach and test for compliance. Works every time.

Is it weird for a guy to maintains eye contact for about 2 or 3x as long as her during a conversation, for example. Say she looks to the side after 6 seconds of eye contact. then looks back at you after 3 seconds, 6 seconds later you both look away for a few moments etc, etc, iv been out of social circle awhile and caught myself keeping eye contact for far longer than whomever im talking to.

That's a really good article and very informative. It was a nice read too. Now time to practice the tips. Although it says at the end that works for men in the Western Countries I believe in Europe it should work just fine. The speech is very useful actually, I wish I knew the info before but it's never too late.

Personally, I think looking for signs like this a major waste of time and you're being delusional by thinking you pinpoint a stranger's interest in you based on a glance or two. If I was waiting to see IOIs to approach, I'd have approached maybe 5 women my whole life. If you just see a girl you want to approach, approach her. Simple as that. Don't get caught up in this bs psychological analysis.

So I’m not knocking psychological sciences, however things like this I sort of feel like it falls into pseudoscience territory. Body language in general I feel like is not a great indicator of interest. There are dozens of reasons for a specific body language.
