I wouldn't really describe myself as shy. Maybe cautious and reserved, and depending on the person, a bit more restrained. Still, I enjoy being around people, can be loud, bring good vibes to any room, and try to be a good partner to others. I also have no trouble making friends quickly in unfamiliar settings. However, I've been told a few times recently that I come across as a shy person.

If I accept this about myself, I'd like to know how I can improve this aspect in my dating life. I'm not the best at flirting, and if shyness comes into play, it only holds me back even more. I look good enough to receive compliments and attract attention, but as soon as it comes to flirting or showing interest, I completely fail.

So, I'm asking for your advice: how do you flirt as a shy person? How do you genuinely show interest and build sexual tension? I don't understand it at all. Physical touch, playful teasing, eye contact—I do all of these, but none of them seem to be perceived as flirting. What am I missing?
