When I first found Seddit, I had 0 faith in this sort of thing. I had heard bits of this kind of advice here and there over the years, but it always wreaked of BS. Also note that until I started learning Seddit's advice, I only had two LTRs, and both ended badly because the girl took advantage and manipulated me often. So after starting to use Reddit, I heard about drama involving SRS and Seddit. So I figured what the hell, and went to check it out.

I'll skip (for your sake) to the part about using the skills I had been learning. Pay attention because you know you do this too, if you're an average person. When previously, I used to do stupid shit like see a girl who i wanted to talk to, I would simply be in her general vicinity and hope that she would notice me, be confident and come say hi (Cause that happens, right?). Or I would see a pretty girl walk by, and I would assign some imaginary personality to her, like she was perfect for me, but I wouldn't ever know, because you don't just talk to people you don't know! That's creepy! Right?!

Now, even more-so since I just entered college, I made an effort. I saw a pretty girl walk past and smile. Fuck fake personality, I did a 180 and talked to her, because she was damn gorgeous! I mean, why not? Some girl sat next to me in a meeting, and instead of creepily glancing over trying to catch her glancing, I turned, made a joke and introduced myself. Then I talked more. Then I (Gasp) got her number!

I'm just saying guys, if you're worried at all that this is all BS, or you are too nervous. Just try it. Fake it til you make it worked for me. I've met so many awesome guys and girls by not being afraid to go say hi, take down names and numbers, and just be okay with it all. I'm also only 5'4, so if I can make it work with taller girls, I'm sure you can overcome whatever obstacle is holding you back.
