How important is having a passionate, creative hobby for strong attraction?

Passions are things that make you happy. If you don't enjoy doing them or are doing them to attract women, they aren't passions and you shouldn't be pursuing. They simply won't hold up over the long term and she'll see right through you. One of the great things about this subreddit is there's so much focus on self-help and personal development that you NEED to get a solid foundation of yourself before attracting others.

Case study, because that's what you're interested in. When I first joined Seddit, I was a gamer/neckbeard/stoner. You know what I mean. And I slowly realized I have so much more to offer the world. I started collecting vinyl. I realized I was always an audiophile and it was a logical progression. You know how awesome it is to do things with girls that you REALLY enjoy? Have you ever been on a date to a record shop? Try it. I don't remember what the article was, but it went along the lines of "Don't try to enter her world. Bring her into yours."

Anyway, record store date. She'll be brought back to her childhood. "OMG, I used to love this album as a kid!" or "Hey, this is great mood music." Then go home, pop a bottle of wine and listen with her. You know what happens after that.

Case study 2: I live in a bike town. There are lots of great roads around to take 30 mile bike excursions. I realized I was an amateur cyclist. When you start meeting girls, and perhaps find one that also like biking, you guys can bike out to a small cafe, or visit the lake.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're trying to find passions to attract girls, buddy, you have the wrong goal and it's not going to work for you. What you NEED to do is develop things YOU'RE interested in, then share them with others. THAT'S where happiness comes from, and when you can bring others into your world, show them what you enjoy and what makes you different from every other chum in the club, THAT'S when you're golden.

I guess it depends on the hobby. I'm a lead singer in a band and it isn't some "key to the city" so to speak, although if I were playing bigger shows I bet it would.

My problem is that km an artist but women think I'm an accountant because I "look like one.". Just my face I guess.

I'm asking specifically those guys who have boring jobs (accounting, sales, boring office jobs, etc.) but have turned the question "What do you do?" around by telling them about their passion in life versus what makes them money.

This basically answers your own question: it gives you something to be passionate about in your life. People find this attractive: Anytime someone has something they can discuss, with passion and conviction, that's socially acceptable and/or agreeable, it's going to come off as attractive. Is it a requirement? No. But does it increase your value and raise your level of outward attraction. Yes. And on the side, it gives you something to focus on and enjoy beside trying to hook-up. That's always a plus.

I am still in college and I don't have a boring job, but I do have a passionate, creative hobby (I don't want to disclose what it is because I would like to remain very anonymous on reddit). I love doing my hobby and I love talking about it with people who are interested. In fact, I have met very few people who are as passionate about anything as I am about my hobby.

However, I have not gotten "tons of ass" or "all the cheerleaders" because I spent the majority of last few years working on my hobby and, in conjunction with that, I was not very good at interacting with women. Now that I am learning about seduction and meeting a lot more women, I am noticing that women are interested when I tell them what I am passionate about, but they haven't been throwing themselves at me. I think it helps a little, because it makes me a bit more interesting than the average dude, but I believe basic pick-up/interaction skills (confidence, posture, being able to have good conversations, kino, etc.) are far more important in terms of actually getting girls to like you. I think having a hobby will be a plus when I find the right girl and get in a LTR, but I haven't been getting a ton of poon because of my hobby (not yet, at least).

Maybe it is different for DJs, though. I'm not a DJ, so I can't say...

(In case you are wondering, I am actually pretty darn good looking, so don't discount this by thinking "Oh, maybe he's just an ugly dude." Also, my hobby is not math or Digimon or anything that is a bit obscure to most women; most women find it fairly interesting.)
