It's worth it if you already getting matches with the free version. But only because tinder platinum gives access to the Super Boost feature. And the Super Boost feature works very well.

But just getting Gold or Platinum without using a Boost will do almost nothing. You will just get slightly more matches. Maybe 20% more. Not a big whoop. For tinder, it's platinum+ "super boost" or nothing imo.

No, it's a waste of money.

You'll have the most success in dating if you go out and meet women in the real world.

I have met a few amazing women via online dating, but most of the time you're dealing with bots/fakes, or horribly toxic women. The toxic ones will report your profile, and then you'll get banned from Tinder and all their monopoly in online dating, leaving you with only bumble.

The ratio of happiness goes up 1000% if you go out and meet women naturally.

Online dating is just going to get worse as they use AI to manipulate you into spending more money for the hope of getting laid.

There's an infinite amount of women in the world. Just go out there and have fun until you figure out what works for you.

NO! But if you want to pay for an app, I recommend hinge, but even then the monetized benefits are debatable.

It's only worth it if you have enough money. At least, you should be able to afford gold, or better platinum. Otherwise you'd have to either have a very good profile or be very patient and have high frustration tolerance, then it might work without spending money. And if none is the case, then you shouldn't be using tinder at all. As a not top 5% guy, it really is a numbers game and you can substantially raise the numbers by spending money

No don’t pay for it dude. It’s easy to bypass that; Look at the age, look at the colors on the photo, the silhouette, any cues that match the person you’re swiping on. Don’t forget to correlate the age as well. It usually happens in a pattern. Hover under the “likes” then match accordingly. Its like you match, Then you swipe yes or no again, then it happens again. Another theory behind it, is that the algorithm will favor the user who recently creates the account. Giving you more matches to start.

No. Just go out, touch some grass, and say hi to someone you find attractive. 80% of the users on there are men, and not many guys are approaching women. Why pay to be behind the curve?

41M. Been one year in platinum. Slovakia: central Europe. The reason for that long time was that I was paying 6 months upfront and I forgot to quit auto renew.

At the end: NO DATES, only few matches / likes from time to time. Tried to change photos from time for the sake of difference: didn't worked. To appear alive I was swiping daily but only for a minute: not more. I already knew it is a scam. Until my subscription ended.

My last 6 month subscription ended sometime in July 2025. For the sake of test I ordered one more month. To see if the algorithm will try to lure me in again by throwing some matches at me. Yes it did some but that's still a long way to go.

The best part is: Since September 1. I am in Croatia at vacation. Tinder is already with NO subscription. I was tempted to go for another month....it's a vacation after all....right, right !?

When I open Tinder, I see every few days 1-2-3 likes (ofc can't see from who) and when ignored, I open the app the next day aaaaand pooof: likes gone! Then it's day with no likes and then again 1-2-3 likes. This has never happened before to me that unanswered likes from real profiles were un-liked before initiating a contact from my side.

If this isn't a scam than what isn't. I am done with them and OLD at all and focusing on real life approaching.

I tried to pay for platinum for a month just to see if it's worth anything (they had a significant discount, do I decided I'd give it a shot).

From my personal experience, it is absolutely not worth it. I used to get regular matches 4+ years ago even with the free version, and I think my profile is better now (better photos mainly). It's way worse today, even with platinum.

Don't waste money on Tinder, it's pure garbage these days. Keep that money and spend it in the real world instead. It will quite cetainly get you further.
