My best friend is short, chubby with a large butt. Probably has been with more women than you and I combined, they were all very attractive. His fiancee is taller than he is, and she is crazy about him.

The difference? He actually went out there and talked with women, made tons of mistakes and learned from them over the years. He became one of the most charismatic people I know. Looks alone don't get you laid, I'm a fairly good looking 6"3' and strong dude and sure I get IOIs here and there but it means nothing if I can't hold a conversation with the girl and make her interested.

Seduction is a complex process and you shouldn't conflate it with the initial attraction one may feel. It's not all about looks or techniques but also, more importantly, your lifestyle and the type of person you build yourself to be.

Although in my opinion you are generalising a bit too much since we basically all know not such gorgeous dudes paired with at least average girls, there is some truth in what you say.

I don't find it cruel though. Cruel implies a willingness to act in a specific way with the goal of causing pain. (Most) women don't do that. It's not somebody's fault either. They are just biologically programmed to look for the attractive guy, that's just how animals work and we do the same.

It's just life, and if you are born on the not Richard Gere side of the spectrum, it will be hard for you to get a partner. Not impossible, but definitely hard.

And the funniest part is, you also will have an harder time doing anything else that requires a selection: get a job, get a raise... And also, you will on average be treated worse than attractive people. All of that has been already scientifically proven.

Btw, I'm also on the not Richard Gere side of the spectrum, but somehow managed to get a girlfriend (for a couple of years). So, don't give in, life sucks but that's just how it is. You can't change how you look but you can definitely get one of the most interesting lads out there thanks to your brain.
