I feel completely wracked. 29m here. Dating has been tough for me. I've been trying to just find someone who will be good enough and who will put in the effort. If we have some chemistry and they are a good person, I don't care what they look like or any other factors. I get a lot of attention early on from women, but its always this loop: - talk to someone new (most times, they initiate..or I initiate but not looking for something romantically) - have a great few first talks, really vibe well, have good eye contact - she is putting in quite an effort, asking me where I am, if I wanna meet etc (around 3 days) - we have deep conversation, we kiss, we go to places together - I think "oh this person is different. She is putting in effort, so it would be rude not to put in effort too) - we text back and forth and meet a lot, but then they stop texting less - I ask, and they say they are confused. That they have just come out of a relationship, or they are not ready yet, that to get serious with me they need time etc etc. - I try to text them to meet, and they ghost or breadcrumb.

Now usually with younger girls, it's still understandable that they are naive, looking to have fun. But I met an amazing woman in her late 30s who has a kid, but she is also kinda going this same route... And I don't understand 😞 Can I not be interested in someone without them pulling away? Do I have to act nonchalant?
