So over the past 3 days, I did 17 approaches. Here's a quick breakdown:

1 just straight up ignored me.

1 said "Ohh, no thank you, nope!"

5 Said they had a boyfriend (Or they were married. I swear she didn't look that old haha.)

6 Stopped and we had a conversation, but either it was really short or I didn't ask for their number.

4 We had a conversation and they gave me their number.

Two of them actually texted back. After I asked them on dates, one didn't respond and one couldn't make it. So on one hand I have no results, but on the other hand I learned a lot.

Ok, here are some things I learned:

Oddly enough the harshest rejections came from the most unattractive girls. And, the ones who were already in a relationship were the most friendly.

My "approach anxiety" on the third day was much lower than the first. I just asked a stranger for directions at the beginning and then was good to go. I wasn't really even thinking about being nervous at that point, I was just looking for girls.

On the approaches that went relatively well, I tried to speak slowly and calmly. I think that makes it easier to actually have a conversation because you don't scare her off. It seems VERY easy to scare someone during the day, and I don't want to do that. Most people assume you are trying to get something from them. I think I'll try to do what u/SwoleBuddha was saying and try to make the other person's day better. I'll at least try to have more empathy.
