I think doing this for the sake of doing this isn't really bringing about any progress. While I respect the discipline I feel that you are treating this as a job instead of something fun to do. If you haven't even followed up or picked up any girls yet I wouldn't continue doing this if all you are doing it for is a reddit post and for the sake of doing it.

What is the “one year cold approach” ?

I just looked it up.

I’ve been cold approached and vice versa. I often have great luck with this especially in day time hours. Best cold approach ever was in a museum in NYC....the gueggenheim ugh I know I just spelled that wrong. I am F (28) and they were M (probably same age) it would have been successful it I didn’t have a bf at the time and the museum had only an hour until close. I later saw him cold approach another F around our age and it made me chuckle in a good way, they talked until the museum closed:)

All I can say from experience is you have to match the mood (emotional state) or vibe (something anything in common) of the other person. And be completely low investment, if you think of any of these experiences as rejection, you will wear yourself down and it will show.

Sometimes I cold approach just because, without any attraction to the other person. Something just felt right.

Practice cold approaching anyone and everyone within reason. Warm up your social side. Be the person who wants the cashier to have a good day. Be the person who makes an on point joke with the fellow customer while grocery shopping. Say hi to people when you go for a walk (unless it’s really late at night and it’s a female- because that can be real creepy and aggressive)

Practice cold approaching on people who also seem socially warmed up. If you go by attraction you might miss social signals that say “leave me the F alone” like a person on a lunch break....I usually sure as hell don’t want my lunch break used up by talking with a stranger the whole 30-60 minutes.

Try to watch other people with on YouTube or IRL who do smooth and seamless cold approaches, you’ll start to notice what is effective.

Just my two cent from my experience. Cold approach works if the girl is physically attracted to you AND is sexually available. If either condition is voided then it won’t work. Approaching everyday is good because at the very least you will naturally decrease anxiety and give you experience to find girls who physically interested in you/ available. Regardless it’s a numbers game because every girl you cross paths won’t be interested or available for whatever reason but you can gauge her level of interest through eye contact to determine if you should approach rather than awkwardly spamming women down the street.If she’s looking a little longer than than a split second go GO APPROACH! But if she doesn’t or looks somewhere else then move on. No need to analyze interactions... bottom line if she’s into she’s into you, don’t analyze. Lastly focus on your style and your body i.e do you hit the gym? Do you wear clothes that communicate that you are attractive? This is FAR more important than what you are saying because again attraction is important.You can get away with a lot more and FAR better results if you improve your looks which everyone can.

I’m sorry but cold approach is bollocks. I have not heard any positive stories or results from cold approach in real life or reddit...Just let shit happen naturally. Get over it all. All these bullshit techniques...just do whatever you feel comfortable with, OLD, cold approach, meet ups, friends introducing etc..

Most people have an inherit distrust of strangers also. So keep that in mind for successful social interactions. I don’t think it’s smart to ask a woman for her number right away. It’s 2020, a phone number means different things than it did 20-40 years ago. I don’t give my number to just anyone. Phone number = pressure and suspicion for me and I know I’m not alone. A low investment interaction isn’t going to warrant me giving my number to anyone (and it’s only going to be low investment in a cold approach). Even if you’re captivating as hell- that’s going to set off even more red flags for me. I feel like I’m being targeted in those interactions.
