Tinder- Mainly sex hook up site

Pof- Here in chicago more black and hispanic chicks than OKC. More girls DTF than OKC.

Okcupid- Lots of girls looking for relationships. A lot still DTF.

Watch out for suspicious angle pics. I've had quite a few where they look pretty good in those then you meet them and they are huge.

Also you may run across dated pics from when they were skinnier.

Tinder- Get the number fast

Pof and OKC- If you can stand out from the crowd in a good way it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Make sure to fill out the profile and have it give off a positive vibe. Women read these things and it can make or break her replying back.

For me I keep it precise and to the point. A list about me.

*I choose not to wear a mask to impress others.

*I believe the greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are; the second greatest is being happy with what you find.

*I don't keep negative company.

*I believe a life filled with loving deeds and good character is the best tombstone.

*I'm a big fan of change and growth. One of the things I see in people that are unhappy with their lives is feeling stuck, fearing the unknown and not being willing to take chances and adapt based on those chances. These people usually end up as the "woulda shoulda coulda" type.

The way you customize your profile is what will change your reply ratio.

In my experience, avoid Match.com/eHarmony/anything "paid to message". It significantly reduces the amount of people who actually will message you back, and you end up wondering if they're not responding because they don't like you, or because they aren't paying for the service.

OKC has been pretty good, gone on many dates, dated a girl off OKC last year for a few months. Nothing outstanding, but still decent.

I hate Tinder. I'm Asian, average looks, and live in a mostly white area. Your mileage may vary.

Keep in mind that online dating grossly exaggerates a girls self worth and value. As the guy, you're expected to send the first message. The act of doing so is an immediate DLV (demonstration of lower value) as you become offered up to be judged. Most girls would get a huge subconscious power rush to their head, even though in real life they are not remotely close to being competitive in the dating world. Online, they have way more value than men as long as men are messaging them first.

If you are training to become a better man, learn to become higher value, improve your inner game, etc, then you will have a better time demonstrating your knowledge by meeting girls offline. With that said, the same skills you learn are useful when you actually meetup with a girl you found online, and date her. But you start out at a disadvantage during the first message compared to cold approaching in real life.

These are generalizations, and does not apply to everyone. Also keep in mind that I'm in a relatively small city, and my experiences may be different if I lived in a larger urban area. It's a numbers game, so if there's more people, your chances of success will increase no matter what.

Badoo is pretty awful. Plentyoffish is bad in that attractive women get messaged 100+ times a day when they join and they tend to get overwhelmed and quit.

Okcupid is a bit better - Tinder is my favorite though Match.com isn't half bad.

You can get laid with online dating, but it's a BRUTAL numbers game, especially if you're not well above average looks. 40 opens would be a lot in reality but it isn't much online. You need to message as much as you can every day to get success. Can't say anything about POF and OkCupid since nobody uses them in my country. I didn't try Badoo myself but there's been a lot of complaints about unspoken costs, so I'd be wary with it. There's also Tinder that quite a few people seemed to get lays with, so you could try it. The ones you've mentioned are pretty much the best you're gonna get from online dating for the time being.

Tinder as you said is probably the best, even though it is starting to go into decline, I think you tend to find a lot more "party girls" or girls you would meet on a night out and who would want to be sexual quicker than other places (not to mention they tend to be conventionally more attractive), though girls who want to date are on there too.

OkCupid is a different beast, I notice the level of intelligence of the girls goes up quite considerably on average and you get a lot more "manic pixie dream girls" than Tinder however its much harder to actually get a date with one of them because they are much less "hot" girls and lots of guys competing for them than Tinder.

POF to me from the times I've been on it seems a total mess of a site, with the younger girls usually fakes or looking for sugar daddies. The only advantage to that site is if you live in an area where the cougar thing is big and you are in good shape (and you are into them), otherwise disregard completely.

My advice it depends what you're looking for, If you are just looking mostly for casual sex then a combination of going out and Tinder would probably be your best bet whilst if you are looking for a serious relationship then a combination of going out and OkCupid would be your best bet. Ignore trash like Badoo completely.

Okcupid and POF are the only two I use.

I find them fairly easy. Took me a year of trial and error to figure out what works for me.

Best bet is to treat it like a scientist. Focus on what you what to open with and talk about. (routines)

That's your control in the experiment. Send to a bunch of girls. It'll help teach you what is working and what's not. Once you know that you can vibe just off the structure of what works best for you and not have to use routines if you want.

Something nobody has mentioned is that with online dating you might end up on a date with a girl that you are not attracted to at all. In my experience it's pretty hard to tell from online if you will find her attractive in real life. So it's pretty inefficient in that regard. It might be different if you can get matches with 8-9s on Tinder, though.

I just began to experiment with online dating as of late. Despite having a background in technology in my professional life (eCommerce, software), I have always been more of a face to face person when it came to my social life and never thought I would find myself on an online dating site or app. However, I have been pleasantly surprised with the experiences I have had on websites and apps such as OKCupid (okcupid.com), Once (getonce.com) and Plenty of Fish (pof.com). It goes without saying that joining on of these apps or websites will not result in you immediately falling in love. Like any other social setting, whether online or offline, there is sure to be a wide range of people. You have to put in the time and effort. I have been on several enjoyable dates with people who not only share common interests, but people I can also picture myself in a relationship with.

I like each of these products for different reasons. Once is one quality match, only ONCE per day. The company has a team of professional matchmakers who match you up with someone they feel you will be compatible with based on the information you profile. Interesting concept. But I got some great matches who I have enjoyed spending time with on dates.

Plenty of Fish has the most users from what I can tell and I have actually had good luck on it. But it is the most extensive and time consuming in terms of information that you are required to fill out. The signup process is lengthy, but once you are on the website, there are quality matches.

OkCupid has a great matching system. OKC matches you up with users who have common interests, hobbies, and beliefs, based on the answers you provide to the questions on the site. If you are going to use OKC, I strongly recommend answering the questions. Like the original poster said, it requires some investment of your time. It isn't like Tinder that is a "yes" or "no" type system with little information required.

I have never used Badoo. I stay away from Match and eHarmony. While I'm sure they are good (they are certainly popular) I refuse to pay for online dating. I only use free products.

These products put you in a better position for compatibility compared to if you just meet a complete stranger at a party or in a park.

Most of the pay sites, people are actually looking for a relationship. So don't troll those looking for a ONS. If you do stop, your being a schmuck and ruining it for those of us who maybe looking for a actual relationship.

Stick with tinder and PoF.
