Nope. They get what i want to give, and this equates to a microscopic amount of texts.

Stand up to their demands?

I am not sure if i understand you right here, if you mean the situation where the girl gets bitchy because i am not her pen pal, i explicitly say exactly that. "I am not your pen pal. We can meet up and chat in person."

Dump their ass and find someone more mature? All opinions appreciated.

More mature is always welcome and in my opinion much more attractive, but regardless what age they are, some women are metaphorically speaking siamese twins with their smartphones and whatsapp. I filter them out pretty quick, it's totally repulsive to me.

"Destroying attraction" may be a heavy handed way of identifying this, but as a 36 year old man, I certainly have a hard time using a phone to communicate with young women. Most of the girls I date are 19-23 since I live blocks away from a major university, but my normal "don't use texts to communicate" laws seem to break down sometimes. It's like they are afraid of talking on the phone, but I think it's just generational commonalities.

I'll text chat if I happen to be bored. I'll call and talk to her if it's been awhile between dates and I want to spike her temperature.

Otherwise, it's radio silence between dates. If they don't don't like it, they're free to leave.

I'm 28, just started seeing an 18 year old girl. I have found that she is a text maniac compared to other girls I'm seeing ( 24 to 28) I am usually reasonably radio silent with my other plates, but I admit I use the instant text replies to my advantage with her, I text her wayyyyy more than I would any other girl.

Rules still apply though. If I just kept replying all day just because she was replying instantly, then the conversation would stall and attraction would suffer. It would also look like I don't have better things to do than text her all day. So I still apply a limit and restrict it. There must be a reason to it, must be banter, teasing etc.

I think it helps in my situation ( I work away during the week and am usually only back for weekends) . One such benefit of establishing this type of contact is that now she sends me sexy underwear photos quite often and says something Like " I miss you" . This is lamb to the slaughter type stuff if you know how how to respond with banter, push- pull.

I would say generally stick to the rules of radio silence but if hey, this works for this girl.

the likeliness you will get burned trying to converse over text is high enough that you should probably move on if they won't talk over the phone.
