"Not today."

Or, as some others have said, you can always just play it straight up sometimes.

Either jokes or just say "I'm not in any exclusive relationships right now." It's better to leave it unanswered with full disclosure early on. If it's someone you're seeing, you should be 100% straight up about it.

I usually have two ways to answer that. First one is "I have very high standards" and the seconds one is "Up to you" with a little smile. Works great.

I offer her my hand and say: "Lefty, pleased to meet you. Don´t worry, she showered just before coming here :)". All this with a bulletproof poker face. No girl ever asked past that phrase and you got some kino for free and maybe a laugh. If I get a good reaction I might even ask, how is your BF called, while drawing my attention to her hand.
