I really do believe we should do a study on this, but there needs to be a better control. I think it is quite provable that seduction works, as it is field tested over and over, but it would be really cool for it to break through to an actual science. What type of PhD could get away with this study? Anthropology? Psychology? Sociology?

I totally agree with the part about meeting more women being one of the parts to success with women(because of women partially being a numbers game and gaining more reference experience each time). I think the reason a lot of guys make up excuses is because they may be living in a small town or really rural area that has few women/scarce nightlife. I live in a really populated area and I've seen it all- great looking women dating great looking men, bald men, short men, skinny men, chubby men. Of course giving a little attention to your looks, personality can increase your chances, but overall a regular guy with the basics: confidence/solid body language/good personality should be able to land a girl. The excuses about not looking good enough or something else equally as dumb are just BS cop-outs.

I feel like this is the whole PUA book salesman pitch, and now they're trying to pretend that science backs them. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that it happens so rarely. but enough to create a subculture to sell hope to.
