I'm not proud to admit it but, when I was younger I had pretty bad social anxiety, which obviously meant I wasn't that good with women and I'm even less proud to admit that to try be better with them, I read those pickup manuals you find on the internet. Now, I'm not saying they can't be helpful in the sense that there's a certain amount of confidence that comes from following "expert" advice, however as I got older and developed my own inner game I realised a fundamental problem with those books. You see, I realised that a lot of the people that write those books don't actually like women, they (like me) had a hard time getting girls in the past and as such have a chip in their shoulder that slowly turned to resentment. This means that every time they had a one night stand they feel like they're evening some kind of score, which is a terrible mindset to have. The thing is, if every interaction you have with women is with the sole purpose of getting the number, getting the kiss, getting laid, sure you'll get girls but you won't actually have fun doing it, at which point you need to ask yourself, what's the point? There's something I like to call the internal locus of self esteem, this is what your source of pride is. If you turn getting girls into a routine, you'll find that your self esteem is tied to whether an interaction is "successful" or not. If you go to a club, your primary goal should be to have fun, whether you get laid or not. If you do this, you will find that you'll be significantly more successful without actually trying that hard. Because, guess what? Girls love to have fun. They're looking for the same kind of enjoyment that you are and if you can be the source of that, they will want you around as long as possible, which ding ding! Means going home with you. So next time you talk to a girl, don't think of it as picking her up, think of it as enjoying the company of the opposite gender. Happy hunting!
