Well here are couple of reasons why some ladies don't respond: 1. They found someone and forgot to delete their account, 2. Tinder serves as an ego boost/ attention machine, 3. Suck at communication, 4. Selling a product ( OF and Instagram following), 5. Busy and preoccupied, 6. Psychological issues (anxiety, depression...etc), 7. Not interested in talking but signed up as a way to gain validation of strangers, 8. Too many matches and you're placed on a wait list.

Gotta remember 2 things:

You think 4-10 matches is a lot? Dawg, ugly chicks get hundreds a day. Dudes are thirsty. I preach against dating apps cuz they don’t really worn and ruin in person game.

Also statistically like…16% of people meet in tinder. That’s a small percentage

Yeah I’m also curious as to how many responses should be considered “normal.” I prob get 1-2 matches a day and 1 response every week-10 days.

Have to say I'm surprised by the fact how many redditers are saying that you should make your first message special. Saw this also in other threads.

Please don't do that. My first message to every girl on Tinder is the same. Hot or not.

Why?

First of all because I have a busy life. So sending the same message gives me more time to do more productive things.

Secondly. Why invest much energy and time in someone you don't know. It may sound harsh but Tinder is just a numbers game. Some girls will reply and some won't. Sending a 'creative' first message won't change this. This just shows that you are trying hard to talk with the girl.

Thirdly. Tinder has become mainstream so that means every girl gets hundred matches a day if she wants. Some of my female friends often show me their tinder account and let me swipe / talk for them. Perfect pasttime for a couple of minutes. I's fun to see how many guys have no idea what works and how to make attraction grow. But since you are not learning much, it becomes boring fast.

This last sentence also applies for the girl. Tinder is exhausting and boring for a lot of girls. And they are often repulsed by the messages they receive.

What if I wrote this in my bio “ If we match and you do not intend to write / answer, it is better that you delete the match so I can focus on those who are genuinely interested😁”

I think three scenarios, one is some think it’s overreacting or negative, second scenario is it will actually increase response ratio, third is they will unmatch by themselves.

Try to challenge some of the ladies in your first message, be a little cocky and tongue-in-cheeck and put up better pictures and bio.

I think some men may not realize how many a woman can get in a day/week. It is almost impossible to read and respond to a lot of them in a meaningful way if you are busy in life.

Depending on the girl your approaching on tinder. I would say you have to catch their attention and stick out from the hundreds of likes or matches they get. Say something witty or stupid to make them laugh or think ok he got my attention.

I have a coworker who I always share tinder, bumble, and in person stories with about girls (she shares things too). But yeah she was like show me your matches and I showed her. I had like 20-25 at the time and she’s like that’s a lot for a guy. So I got curious and asked me to show me how many she has. She did. Over 100 matches bro. She’s not that bad of a looking girl but she’s also not too pretty either. Nothing special, not a lot going on for her body either. Besides the point. She has tons of guys to choose from. Already matched and she said she picks them out un matching the ones that aren’t her type. And she said he gets a lot of different approaches. Definitely doesn’t reply to hey or hi. No girl does. (Except the really innocent ones but, those you won’t find on tinder.)

Biggest thing to consider is that girls get way more likes and matches than guys. The ratio on dating apps is around 3/8 girls vs guys
