When a girl says “I’ll let you know” “I’ll keep you updated” or any similar thing to that. It is 99% guaranteed that she will never let you know or keep you updated. If she also adds an “I’m not feeling well” text then that’s also a bad sign and hints that she is not interested. It doesn’t matter if you follow up or not, because the decision has been made already by the time she says any of those things you mentioned. And the decision isn’t usually a positive one for the guy.

As a girl: being asked for drinks is such a general line that all guys kinda say, and doesn’t mean much to me (unless I really like the guy).

What stands out is if you are specific about the place, or phrase it like “I want to take you to…” or “be ready at 8”. Not only are you painting a picture which is women love, but the assertive and confident tone is attractive

I first snoop around. Indirectly asking when they are free and available. And free doesn't always mean they're available. Like in your example, yeah she could be doing nothing but she's "not feeling well"

Don't ask them out if you don't know the days when they're free. Don't suggest days when you're free. Cut their chances first to say no. Learn their schedule and availability first. Those are the days when you invite women to hang.
