What was your misconception about women before having a girlfriend?

My misconception?

Every. Freaking. Thing.

Hollywood, along with my aunts and grandmas, did a great job giving me the absolute, most piss-poor advice on women.

Good thing I was curious enough to look for information on my own.

That losing my virginity and getting the ultimate form of validation from a woman still wasn't enough to fix my low self-confidence. I need to sort that out on my own.

Misconceptions about women (potentially dark/rp shit here):

They are holding out for prince charming (they actually want to tame a wild man)
They want the good/nice guy who treats them well (they want a man who challenges them, and would rather have a jerk than someone who is overly nice)
They will value a man who is good but is not so good in bed over a man who is bad but good in bed (a lot of woman will stay with a shitty guy if the sex is good)
They only want boyfriends (some women are quite open to hooking up, especially in their late teens, early 20s)
A women will not stay with a man who abuses her, especially if she has the option to leave (childhood experience has taught me that some woman have some fucked up shit going on in their heads, even if they're smart and have access to resources away from their husbands/boyfriends - naturally this doesn't apply to all women, but I've seen it happen with women in my family)
They are attracted to good looking men the same way men are attracted to good looking women (women are turned on by behaviours more than looks)
They are generally as confident as men (testosterone gives men the edge in this regard)
They want someone who is their equal (they want someone who is superior to them on the social hierarchy, but will settle for their equal)
They are not turned on by fear/danger/anger (they can be turned on by all these emotions)
If they are talking to me, it's just because they're being nice (haha, who knew I wasn't a completely fugly bastard)
They wouldn't be interested in me XD (see above)
