OK, he's the bottom line. Most PUA tactics about dressing up in goofy consumes, running canned routines and obsessing about "being alpha" are just pure garbage. I GET IT.

But taking it with moderation and commonsense, some of that stuff works. It worked for me. Many guys have serious social anxiety. Telling someone to "be their best selves" is completely inactionable advice. It's lazy advice. That's like telling someone autistic to just stop acting weird and be your best self. Not only does that not do shit, it's insulting to believe psychological problems have such simple solutions.

What seduction tips do is to get guys to a bit more confident and have them go out in the field and practice. So what if what they do is "cringe-worthy"? They're not there to impress you. They're there taking a half-step towards some success with women which breaks the vicious cycle of low esteem.

Yes, guys should also improve himself mentally, emotionally and physically. They should have real goals and passions outside of pickup. Thank you Captain Obvious. But they can do that in addition to whatever seduction or PUA advice they want to follow.

I used to have serious social anxiety and probably rank in the bottom 10%. But I'm so much better now thanks hugely to seduction resources such as this subreddit. You just have to filter out the excessively "be alpha" crap.

And lastly, if PUA and seduction tips didn't work for you, don't blame the tips. I'd wager the vast majority of guys who suck with women have improved because of those tips. I'm sorry if it didn't work for you.
