Honestly, I'd use dating apps with a grain of salt. Treat it like a game where you potentially gain nothing, but also lose nothing. Therefore take chances and don't give a shit.

Meeting girls in person is just faster and better. Dating apps are only good when you don't put any effort or hope into them.

I have mixed feelings, but mostly do agree with you. I've had Tinder for a year now, got it when my fiance and I split in Dec. 2018

Be on the lookout for girls in three places:

Within your social circle.
Online.
Cold approaches.

When it comes to finding girls online, it's strictly a numbers game. Personally, I'm a decent looking guy, solid 7/10 and I have accumulated 79 matches. I'd honestly say that less than 10 of those matches were worth me replying to.

I also feel like Tinder has been out of its heyday since late 2017, early 2018 and that's being generous. I will say that Tinder has gotten me laid 3 times in 12 months. Two of those times I will attribute to Tinder Gold because of the free Boost/exposure.

When it comes to online dating, in my own opinion, do it but just don't pay for it.

Tinder is fucking weird. I got a decent amount of matches, even some superlikes, and nothing has come out of it. I even had this one girl message me first, show clear interest, and yet when I ask for her number she unmatched me. Shit is so confusing, makes no sense whatsoever. I wish I could have low inhibition like you and cold approach tho.

How tall are you btw? girls on tinder have crazy standards when it comes to height. Anything below 6'0 and they will not wanna right-swipe you

Tinder has its ups and downs, depending who you are and what your level of game is.

I've used tinder to arrange dates, but now mostly just to see what's out there. I've had multiple encounters with women I've seen or chatted with on tinder, and it's made a good opener.

In my experience, tinder and other dating apps have only made me build expectations of the girl before I meet her, then leading to some sort of disappointment.

I'd say I prefer meeting girls out in public because it feels much more genuine, and it's easier to show her who you really are.

Absolutely agree...I’m told I’m very handsome but get few quality matches on tinder...I sleep with every tinder girl I go out with multiple times, beginning with first date. Women just do not take tinder seriously.

Just my 2 cents, I dated, had casual sex and relationships with 6s, 7s and 8s, maybe a 9, but on Tinder I mostly get no matches and an occassional match with a 1, 2 or 3.

But it is hard to calibrate because IRL I have little succes either atm.

The kind of pictures and profile text matters a lot. I changed some photos and added some text, to better my profile, but instead I got even less matches, like significantly less

I get tinder matches, it’s just that they ghost me afterwards or never reply in the first place.

However one of them was nice enough to admit she found a guy in rl, so I was like thanks for being honest.

Yeah I’m 20 years old with an n count of around 50 and I’ve never been successful on tinder. Meeting girls in person is 100x easier

I feel for your struggle and dating apps like Tinder can definitely kill your confidence. I have watched numerous of videos on how to be successful on Tinder and even with that, I still fail. It is nice to get matches, but that is not even half of the battle. You have to think creatively and strategically how to stand out for a girl to willingly like you, or even get a response. So the margin of error is high.

Tinder is saturated and your best bet is to approach girls in person. It is likely that half, if not many will have the balls to approach a pretty girl in person. Also, it is easier and better to convey your personality.

K I get the point, and I agree that learning to approach is important (I know guys who use tinder as crutch because they're afraid to approach) but at the same time this is bullshit clickbait. Come on now dude. Literally anyone can get lays off tinder. If you don't then you don't know how to take pictures. Ask your female friends to help you take pics (if you don't have female friends make some.)

I know old guys who get laid off tinder, fat guys who get laid off tinder, ugly guys who get laid off tinder. Tinder isn't the end goal, and it shouldn't be everything, but it's a useful tool. Especially for a guy who lacks experience, tinder gives you the chance to have a lot of first dates and message and talk to a lot of people. Even if you struggle to get laid you can find people to talk to, make friends etc. Just learn how to take good pics and write a good bio. Don't be needy, just chat and have fun. Learn to joke and have fun and funny conversations without being weird and pushy.

Your Tinder probably sucks because you're not giving it a real chance by expecting it to do magic for you, instead of actually working on your photos and not swiping like a desperate virgin. Lots of guys swipe right on every girl, and then proceed to claim it's not working. You're not supposed to do that.

If you want to improve Tinder, there's a way. Don't dismiss it just because you're not good at it.

I’d say take it with a grain of salt. Most people use it for validation or to poke around and see what’s out there— I’m guilty of this myself.

I think it’s important to be mindful of that and not take it to heart, which is difficult. You’re putting yourself out there and it can hurt to not feel appreciated or have your efforts reciprocated, but it’s best to remain as impartial as possible.

More to the topic. Last Saturday I met up with this guy to do some daygaming. This fucking guy was relentless, his number close rate was a mad 40%, I saw it with my own eyes. He also showed me his Tinder profile with a shitload of matches. All of his photos were top notch professional shots of him traveling around the world, including abs pic of course. This is what it takes to make it on Tinder nowadays.

I went to do some daygaming alone today. I came back with nothing to show for it - I was getting blowouts each harder than the previous one. Now my lay count is over a 100 (mostly from online, but many years), but i had to put monumental amount of effort and resources to get there when this guy just does that shit effortlessly.

You can repeat your mantras all you want, but it is what it is - you either have it or you don't, online, offline, face to face, it doesn't fucking matter.
