If I would recommend one book it's Magic Bullets. You only need one good guide, you don't have to read thousands of articles, blogs, or videos. It's expensive but it's the shit. Then it's up to you to practice. Finding a good coach or wingman for feedback who actually knows what he's doing is also helpful, but start with Magic Bullets and practice.

The paradox is that the girl you are describing feels the most comfortable with the guy who doesn't want to impress her.
Trying to impress = assuming she is higher value and you are lower value. Ask yourself if you prefer to be friends with someone who is just themself around you, or with someone who is always trying to impress you. Few people aside from narcissists would choose the latter because we don't want low value friends.
Let's try another thought experiment. As men and women, our roles in society and our social and sexual power are different at different points in our lives.
Women reach the peak of their social and sexual power in their 20s, and as they get older their sexual power declines, and their social power often follows with it, with the exception of a few women who are old but influential, like Oprah, J-lo, Shakira, Beyonce, Madonna, etc.
Men, however, don't usually have a social and sexual value spike in their late teens and 20s. Men are in a very competitive role to develop their resources, build their social circle, maintain their health, and master their minds. As men age, those who have taken life seriously will become more and more attractive, and those who have clowned around will become obese, poor, emotionally reactive, porn addicted losers.
Next, let's look at the biggest issue with meeting and dating top tier women: access. How can you even meet these girls in your day to day life? Are you a guest at Maxim, Ignite, Playboy Mansion, or other high status parties? Hot women are a guarded resource and you need to be a certain tier of man to even be allowed at the same events as them.
Heres the problem: that tier of man is not someone who is average or tries to impress people.
Stop thinking that the girl is a prize; once you know what kind of life you want and what kind of partner is best for that lifestyle, the dynamic of buyer/seller flips and you assume the role of the selector / hiring manager in the relationship, which means you know your value and what you bring to the table, so you don't mind eating alone, and you don't need to impress the girl; instead, ironically, she feels the need to impress you, because you're not another low self-esteem, reactive clown trying to get a hit of validation off of her.

Oh my god, I’ve just realised that we did this thing with a girl for like 8 years. Although she started to do it I guess, and I felt for her and she fking got me until I fought back with her own weapon. I even fked her girlfriends and two of her roommates, jeez. And the interesting is, that she only became interested when I was with an another girl. Dunno why, it just turned her on. Maybe to feel like she has power. And also, when you’re fishing, before you get there, you might buy a boat, dress up as a fisherman, buy a stick and some bait. So I think, with that you actually create a situation, where woman get caught whether they like what they see. Also, they just see the bait itself probably, then meet a guy, and there is no escape, which is not really a 21th century way of thinkink.
Depends on your personslity. But an another thing. If a woman gets caught on a bait, then you can’t blame the guy. I mean, if there are no fishes in the see, then it’s kind of a stupid thing to sit there with your stick. So there is no fishing. But there is, so as using baits. And a last thing: woman has to learn to avoid fake guys (baits), otherwise the real thing won’t be valued enough.
Anyway, I agree, that is more healthy to dance or something where you can experience each other more, then hide behind money or something, it’s just: fake things will always attract fake things, and real things the real things. It’s not the game, but the people at both sides.

Good comparison, but my best friend, who's good with women, had also told me that women can be ''fishers'' as well. I think we all know that women search for the best mates (financially stable, ambitious, takes care of himself, confident etc.). Let's call these guys ''big fishes''.
And for some big fishes, just a worm is oftentimes not enough. So what kind of bait do they use? Smaller fishes, aka simps, clueless guys who got their shit together, or just guys who are in the same social circle as the ''big fishes'', if not friends with them. But mostly, more or less, ''small fishes'' are the simp types. They ''catch'' them because they serve a purpose, if momentarily. One fact about women is that it fills them with confidence when men are complimenting them, validating them, no matter their status, and this confidence helps them attract the higher quality men, hence the ''using smaller fish as bait''.
Note: women don't deserve to be hated for this. It's simply in their nature. Plus, these guys put them on a pedestal on their on volition. If they're acting like servants, they're going to be treated like servants. These guys cannot be mad at women for not being ''rewarded'' when they fulfill every request. It's not like they're pursuing average looking girls.

In my understanding of the said words, the bait is your personality, charisma and confidence. The rod may be your looks, so in order to "catch a bigger fish" you are going to need a stronger rod. So, work on yourself, build an abundance mindset, start hitting the gym, find a new hobbies, put more time in to things that are outside your comfort zone and put less time in to more distractive and unproductive things, for example, video games. I'm not saying that you should dump things like gaming completely if it is your hobby, but make a schedule, where the most of your time would go to productive things and, again, less of the time in to not productive things. For example, distribute 70% of your time on going to gym, playing an instrument, jogging, etc, and 30% to playing video games, watching random stuff on youtube, etc., so you would be working on yourself and improving your mindset and your body, but you would not get overstressed by those things. It's very important to keep a balance in your life. I did get a away from the main question though. So, the good bait is you and the more you work on yourself, the more attractive the "bait" may look to the "fishes". And where you are going to "fish"? Anywhere, man! Well, not anywhere, you should avoid places like gym or nightclubs, because in those places girls usually has their guard up. So, talk to her in more casual places, for example, bus, street, park. Just go to her and ask her name, say yours, then you both shake hands and that's it, mate, now is your chance to cast your bait! And remember, you will never going to catch anything if you didn't even cast it.
