There are three common narratives peddled in men's dating community.

1.) Women never approach.

2.) Men are supposed to approach all the time.

3.) Women get attention from a thousand guys, therefore you approach and be the charismatic giga chad for her to pick you.

I've lost the count on the number of times I've seen the above narratives fail. The latest one is still fresh in my memory, and it's from the night of 31st. I was partying at a club where I saw an absolute stallion of a guy entering the club with his friends. He was anything but James Bond level charismatic. He was a simple, normal dude scoring 9/10 on looks. Must've been 6'1" on height. You guys have no clue on the number of ladies that gave him attention. One girl went berserk and started literally chasing him. Two girls made the move, approached him, danced with him, had drinks, took him to an isolated place, made out, and held conversation. The guy had to do literally nothing. No confidence, no flirting, no banter, nothing. He just had to exist, and the ladies went gaga. He wasn't even remotely doing anything to keep the conversations flowing. He was literally returning back to his group after making out, and the ladies were coming back to him. That was the amount of attention and validation the dude received that day.

Conclusion : Yes, it's true that a woman gets hit upon by a lot of guys, but she generally ignores most of them and chooses who she likes. Who she's eying upon. Who is her eye candy. Who she is finding hot at the venue. You owning no amount of charisma & confidence is going to shift her attention from that special dude to you. Ultimately, because women, too, have preferences and are not always "swayed" into love/attraction by men.
