Recently I noticed how completely lopsided support material is for a man.

I mean sure this sub and some other things have illuminated how the media social and otherwise have pushed toxic masculinity and that we are the enemy. At first I thought hmm maybe that’s just hurt feelings and confirmation bias. As time has gone on, however, in searching for let’s say enlightening or clarity I have noticed how true it really seems.

I’m not big on social media (other than Reddit because this is anonymous and there isn’t pictures of yourself or opinions that I have to see if we know each other) I do have a Facebook though. I don’t use it much but I do have it. Recently, I have noticed that if I am scrolling through there I see the ads for marriage problems etc (algorithms be strong), but I also noticed that all the memes (motivational quotes/passages etc) regarding infidelity or being depressed or anxious regarding your relationship all tend to be “her mind”, “strong woman”, “her soul” labeled.

I thought nothing of it and brushed it off until i noticed the crap my stbx posts tagged in the same ways. She posts all sorts of crap about picking yourself up and loving yourself. Of course no one knows about the affair, or the details or the fact that I discovered she was having an inappropriate relationship with her best friends fiancé this week. Even though that best friend recently had a baby and is post partem depression real bad but all her evil deeds are another post or multiple other posts idk if there is a character limit.

I even got on my Bible app to get some devotionals and stuff to help me think, all the infidelity and stuff were geared towards women. There were multiple options for women but only one for men.

I’m really starting to believe the whole western lifestyle destroying the possibilities of a happy marriage. I also believe social media has made it impossible to find a trustworthy relationship. (Think about it you went shopping on a catalog for that person and they did the same. At any given point if they’re remotely unhappy or unconvinced they can go right back to the catalog while they string you along. No thanks)
