When guys post captions like that I really feel like they’re just making it obvious that they only tolerate their girlfriends but don’t really love them lol.
Reminds of the time I was briefly dating this guy who posted a video of me and him together on his social media with the caption, “with my ungrateful girlfriend” (something along those lines) after we had argued over a petty matter. I told him to delete the video and caption because it was disrespectful and I wasn’t going to tolerate any childish behavior so he then proceeded to delete every picture+video of us together from his Instagram and then unfollowed me.
Good for you man that’ll definitely show me wow! 💀 Needless to say he got the boot and was pissed/confused on why I dumped him the next day lol.

So typical him being confused and angry over being dumped for escalating childish asshole stuff.
It’s obvious that conflict resolution for so many men is not a restorative sorting out of the issue but an increase in destructive hostility to “win” and silence the argument.
In mansplain this is what men mean by “drama”. A petty annoyance becomes an argument that the man blows up into something bigger with words and actions that are specifically hurtful and way out of proportion to the stimulus.
No drama is women who perfectly tolerate all their behavior. As much as men say they want peaceful personal lives that’s a lie. Men want trigger free relationships.
Men’s audacity is limitless.

Good for you! Your story is exactly what women need to see because it really illustrates why all the stupid shit women are told about argument resolution in relationships are lies. Women don’t need to make peace or bring closure.
You COmmuNiCated. He got mad. He escalated. He deleted all pictures to punish you. And then expected that the relationship would default back to “normal” after his display of disrespect, power and destruction.
Men don’t fucking get it. Pretty sure male lurkers reading this think all the vents and analysis are overkill and excessive.
Men fail hard to believe that it’s not something big and dramatic like a literal beat down that kills their relationships. It’s the drip drip drip of daily disrespect. The hundredth reminder. The micro aggressions. The need to “win” petty arguments.

Thank you hun :) And yes pretty much! Lol. I always prided myself in being those type of people who would “talk issues through” but I learned that a lot of men are just super immature. And instead of talking things through they’d rather destroy everything then expect you to clean up their emotional mess afterwards. Like lol nope bye! They can clean up their own mess they started.

That’s been my experience countless times.
Ironically, when shit got really ugly- the men in my life gave me the silent treatment. They were giving me their worst punishment of all! They were revoking my emotional nanny privileges! I was fired from messy emotion clean up detail!
It took a minute and lots of work to deconstruct this scapegoat silent treatment. And systematically analyze why no matter what I did got me the shit end of the stick with people who didn’t do their own emotional labor. I’ve learned a lot about enmeshment.
I will always be super good at managing other people’s emotions (thank you toxic family dynamic- lol). It’s “natural” for me because detection of emotions to get ahead of the inevitable shit tsunami was survival.
I really appreciate your analysis -it’s given me another aspect to consider as I work to unfuck myself! Thanks!!!

My ex said that all the time and said I was so nice to be with cause I was so easy. Until he cheated and I found out then I was constant drama and stress lmao like no bro you are. He was the biggest disaster I’ve ever met. Constant issues. Locked his keys in the car twice in one year, broke the window the second time, never had money, always cheating, always having temper tantrums ugh god

It would be more palatable if it was mutual. I try to reduce this kind of humour as much as I can and I only use it with those who are on board with it, only in certain situations, and if the dynamic is mutual. That's it. Uncultured swine is probably a toy story reference and it's alright, but something is so off there. It's not that we can't take men's humour, it's just that they use it with any lack of awareness. They also don't understand when we joke in the same way, like the girl who got asked a sexual question and she used her hoarse voice (probably because she was singing/shouting a lot at a party/concert or idk) to joke about how she has corona so the boy better run or something. 3/4 of Reddit men took it seriously, the other 1/4 thought that they only find it humorous because the girl was hot and they tried to find a way to dismiss her humour. Ah, I'm tired.
