Very good point. I've too often ignored when a guy says "you're too good for me," and sooner or later, they prove themselves right, either by sabotaging the relationship or being lazy af.

Literally just had a man tell me he did not want to be “romantically involved” anymore and “didn’t mean it” when he had asked me to hang out a few days ago after I pointed out that I hadn’t heard from him in awhile. I’m just gonna assume he’s not ready for a real woman and move on - a mindset I would not have had a few years ago.
