Why did the GOP increase its support so decisively among black men? Allow me to hazard the guess that the extremist misandry of so many media figures who identify as black feminists finally broke the patience of men in that community, and let's not forget that black women seem to have doubled their support for the right.

This is a disaster for all of us. It seems we've gotta say goodbye to the Senate hopes, and the blustering Cheeto might even squeak over the finish line.

No major health care reform. No action on climate change. Almost certainly no significant new taxation of the 1%. I think disaster is too light a word.
